Please don't be in love with someone else. Please don't have someone waiting on you. Jack Hodgins thought to himself as he eyed the girl across room. She was standing next to Brennan, both now his co workers. God, how he hated being the new guy. The last week had been filed with awkward glances and whispers behind his back. Her brown eyes filled with laughter, dark curls floating around her face. Every time she smiled faint dimples would appear in her cheeks. She was every man's dream. Angela, even her name was heavenly and sweet. He had to meet her, even if it was just for a second. Just to be in her presence, look into her warm liquid eyes, inhale her sweet floral scent. He's never waited anything so bad in his life. He took another swig of his beer as her gaze fell on him. Her smile faded, her full pink lip now in between her teeth. Finally she got up from her seat sliding into the one next to his. "You know it's rude to stare." She said her legs rubbing against his.

"I'm just appreciating the art baby." She chuckled softly a stray curl falling in front of her face.

"You must be Jack I'm Angela I suppose we are now officially co worker."

"I suppose you are right well I guess a quick fling is out of the question."

"Oh darn and I was really looking forward to it but you can always buy me a drink to make up for it."

"Done" he said motioning to the bartender

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go. I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home. Angela sat in her usual parking spot her headlights shining into her empty apartment. The daze of the night still upon her, his enchanting presence was still lingering all around her. Her thoughts were spinning around the new guy at work. They've worked together for almost a week now and she hadn't even had a chance to meet him until she dragged Brennan into the bar where all of their coworkers were. Jack her heart repeated. Her body shuddered at the thought of his blue eyes gazing into her soul. It was almost as if he could see into the depths.

He's not your type her mind countered he'll just wind up hurting you like others. "There's just something about him." Her heart said aloud to the empty car, her stomach flipping to the thought. "Godamn" she said her cheeks now burning again.. "Friend" her brain firmly told her heart "he'll be a great friend." My thoughts will echo your name until I see you again, I was enchanted to meet you
