Chapter 1

He Looks A Lot Like Raven

The boy had a pale complexion; his skin gray in tone. His eyes were a deep crimson and he stood stoically as his hair was swept through the air from a light breeze. Though, concealed by a hoodie, he also had a blue chalkra on his forehead. His apparel consisted of a black hoodie that covered most of his features adorned with a pair of blue jeans that were ripped in some places. Then, a necklace with the prophecy symbols that Raven had around herself on the chain to keep his powers under control. He let out a sigh and looked at his watch. "4:30 AM... Great and I'm starving for food." His voice trailed, off into a whisper. His sneaker brushed against the asphalt as he took a turn immediately noticing a man that wore a golden and black mask along with a silver, golden, and black suit. It turned out to be the one and only Slade. A mixture of fear and anger washed over the boy's face and he started to run away. He went down the road, through the trees, until he met the end of an alley.

He was panting hard, and clearly out of breath by the end of it. "Okay, I think I'm safe for now." He uttered, catching his breath some more.

Suddenly, he saw a silhouette in the dark side of the alley way. Then, the masked stranger Slade popped out revealing himself to be the silhouette. "Hi, you're new to the city aren't you?" The villian's voice was cold and spine chilling. He slowly approached the boy and examined him up and down.

"Go away!" At the shout, the boy's eyes turned a cold white and his body transitioned into a black shadow disappearing through the ground. It appeared behind Slade where the villain took three steps forward.

"Perhaps another time." Slade's voice was calm despite the situation rather dismissive about the whole encounter.

Right at that moment Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven appeared. When they arrived, they witnessed Slade putting the guys hands behind his back and knocking him unconscious with a hard blow from his head.

Raven glanced towards the boy wonder-leader of the Titans. "Do you think...we should help?" Her voice seemed uneasy and rather panicked.

Robin gave her a nod. "Titans Go!" Everyone flung into action ready to fight. Though the moment they turned their attention to the scene, Slade had gotten away leaving the poor boy on the ground.

"Maybe we should take him home with us, correct?" Starfire was looking at everyone and they all said yes. The Tamaranian flew over to the strange guy and gasped. "Friends, I think you should come over and look at this." It wasn't long after the kid was stirring from being unconscious, but looked too weak to actually open his eyes.

"No time." Robin spat. He looked anxious to get back to the tower.

Raven's eyes were fixated on the boy; moreso his appearance than anything else. Her glance lingered before turning her attention to the ground. "Maybe we should just... take him back to the tower and check him out." Cyborg walked over to Raven, noticing her body language. It seemed like he was going to reply to her, but Robin cut him off.

"Yeah, I agree." Robin interrupted. "Come on team let's go home."

Back at the tower, the boy opened his eyes, and he merely skimmed the room where he was at. He was surprised to find that he was on a large leather sectional sofa, in front of a huge television screen. His location was unknown to him which left him on edge.

The sound of two automatic doors opened, and a teenager with jet black spikey hair walked into the room. His sudden presence made him jump. "Hey you're awake." Robin's voice sounded. The boy didn't speak. "Wow, you..." Before he could finish his sentence, the rest of the team- Starfire and the others arrived in the room. "Hey, guys can you guys come over here?" Robin asked. As soon as he asked that, the boy shoved his face into the couch, like a scared little boy would upon meeting strangers.

"Maybe we shouldn't bother him." Raven muttered. The spellcaster of the group, could sense that the boy was uncomfortable.

Soon, the little green guy of the team made his way over to the sofa. "Listen dude, I wanna play Mega Monkeys 4.2. So move it." He showed no remorse for the kid, and seemed like he was only focusing on video games.

Nonetheless, the boy got off the couch not wanting to make an argument with the stranger and went over to the kitchen. He leaned against the counter, folding his hands over his face in agony and stress.

He was caught off-guard when he heard a voice in front of him. "Hi, my name is Starfire. Will you be my new friend?" He moved his hands and just stared at her in awe of the situation. Her hair was a cherry ginger, and her emerald green eyes were just as vibrant as the rest of her features. The orange hued skin and it appeared as if she was wearing a bathing suit top with shorts. "Excuse me, but why are you staring at me?" The question made him collapse down on the floor, his actions like that when Slade had knocked him unconscious.

Raven shot him an odd look.

Cyborg's voice came out from nowhere. "You know he looks a lot like..." He let his words travel away with Robin finishing his sentence.

"Raven." Robin finished.

Raven's eyes flickered to Robin immediately. "What?" Raven finally turned her body to the rest of the team. "I have to go...and..uh...meditate..yeah." Her voice was sputtered, and almost panicked. Then, she ran out of the room, disappearing into the hallway as the doors closed.
