The battle was fierce,
and many fell,
friends and enemies,
Greeks and Romans,
Demigods and Monsters.
And she fought fiercely,
with pride,
and grace,
with the one she loved,
the one she'd lost then found,
by her side.
And then he fell,
and then he died,
and so did her world,
her life.
And tears of silver-grey coursing down her face,
and the blessing of her mother, Athena,
surrounding her with an unearthly glow,
she kissed him good-bye (for now),
and stood back up to face the war.
Around her the battle raged,
and she raged back at it,
for her life was already gone,
so why not take the enemies' life too?
Tears of silver-grey coursing down her face,
and the blessing of her mother, Athena,
surrounding her with an unearthly glow,
she slashed through monsters with her
gleaming dagger and shining sword.
She dominated the battle,
killing monsters,
here and there.
She led the demigods to victory,
both the Greeks and the Romans,
but victory evaded her.
For he had fallen,
and then he had died,
and with him,
so had her world,
her life.
And Rome was ablaze with victory,
cheering and laughing for the enemies' defeat,
crying and mourning for the loss of their friends,
loved ones,
families,
companions,
the Heroes,
that fell in the battle.
And she?
she left to mourn,
left, for she was alone,
and she would come back,
she knew,
for the battle was not over,
only just begun.
But for now,
she walked alone, away,
away from the spot where
he fell,
died,
left her
alone.
And so wisdoms daughter walked from the battle grounds,
alone,
leaving her mark on a burning Rome.
Okay, is case you didn't get it, Percy dies in the battle at Rome (yeah, yeah, can't happen because he's one of the seven and all but stick with me) and Annabeth gets the "Mark Of Athena" kind o like was Clarisse got in the Titan Wat after Selena dies.
It's not great and all, and the last few stanza-ey things I think I repeated the same stuff over and over again, but hey, I posted it!
And any way, I like the concept.
