Kunai knife wounds, and fire burns with trace amounts of chakra. Wounds like these on a ninja who appears to be a missing ninja from the village of Konoha would have to be reported to the local authorities…
…Especially if you are in the government central nexus of Iwa. It sure makes getting quality health care scarce, if your name is Naruto Uzumaki.

The mission was pretty simple S-ranked fare, pose as bandits to rob a coach that left the Fire country capital three days ago of 1.1 million ryo of gold coins heading for Iwa in six days. The gold would then be returned to the Fire capital where the share would be split four ways with the Damiyo and the team earning a cool 275,000 ryo in gold. We intercepted the coach one day from the village and got away clean, until the duck-assed Sasuke thought it would be a good idea for one of us to be left behind, dead, as a message to incoming Iwa patrol. The whore Sakura was more than happy to comply with his wishes, and used me as target practice.
The fireball was supposed to be my burial, but that dickwad can't do things half right, and eventually the fire was put out by the aforementioned patrol.
A Sanji Himura production
No man can put a price on his life. I can. 275,000 ryo. That is how much they took from me from that failed mission to Iwa. That is how much I am going to get back.
Naruto's Payback
Author Notes and Statistics
This is something that I hope that gains interest, but this is driven by your reviews, and not my standard MO of favs and alerts. This is based on the 1999 Mel Gibson movie, Payback, which in my opinion is one of his better ones not named Lethal Weapon and Mad Max. The movie is based on the book 'The Hunter' by Richard Stark, which I will definitely give that a read in the not so distant future.
