State the obvious I didn't get my perfect fantasy
I realized you love yourself
More that you could ever love me
Rachel Berry sat by her dressing table, carefully pinning her hair up in to a messy bun on top of her head. She was a little more tan than usual after spending her spring break in Mexico with her fathers. It was good of her to get away from Lima for a while, she smiled slightly as she thought back to the last day of school before the break.
She walked slowly through the halls of McKinely until she reached her locker where Finn was standing awkwardly, obviously very nervous about something. When he noticed her approach he let his eyes drop to the floor, he was too much of a coward to look her in the eyes. He could hear her talk about some solo she wanted to sing when he blurted it out, "I think we should break up."
So go and tell your friends
That I'm obsessive and crazy
That's fine, I'll tell mine you're gay and by the way
Of course she was upset to begin with but after she'd cried a little it hit her, Finn was never going to love her as much as he loved himself. Her theory was proved correct at the party Santana had that night, when Finn was bragging to everyone how he'd managed to get with one of the cheerios. Rachel had become quite good friends with Santana and had been invited to the party when she walked in on Finn having a conversation with one of the other jocks.
"So, what happened with that Berry chick?"
Finn laughed. "She's way to obsessive for me. She's crazy man."
I laughed loudly to make my presence known and his eyes bulged as he noticed me standing there.
"Finn, you know there's no reason to lie. Might as well tell the truth." She smiled cockily. "We broke up because Finn here, swings for the other team."
The entire kitchen broke in to fits of laughter as she stormed out in typical Rachel Berry style.
I hate that stupid old pickup truck
You never let me drive
You're a redneck, heartbreak
Who's really bad at lying
So watch me strike a match
On all my wasted time
As far as I'm concerned
You're just another picture to burn
Rachel got home after the party and ran up straight to her room. She piled every photo she had of her and Finn, all the movie stubs and Breadstix napkins and threw them in a bin. She then took a match and set it all on fire on her balcony. Not giving Finn a second thought, as far as she was concerned, it was over. Forever.
There's no time for tears
I'm just sitting here planning my revenge
There's nothing stopping me
From going out with all of your best friends
Rachel smirked at the memory and thought about how she got over Finn a lot quicker this time around. A horn beeped outside and Rachel rushed to the window to see Noah Puckerman standing outside his blue truck, she smiled to herself and grabbed her backpack. As she ran down the stairs she wished her dads goodbye and walked outside to be greeted by Noah. He smiled at her and helped her climb in to his truck before getting in to the driving seat and speeding off towards the school.
And so watch me strike a match
On all my wasted time
As far as I'm concerned
You're just another picture to burn.
Which Taylor song should I do next? Review and tell me please :)
