Author's Note- Hello. This is my first fanfic so don't expect much from it. I would appreciate a review letting me know how I did.
I do not own any characters in this story, they are all J.K. Rowling's.
A strange man approached the house, wearing a cloak that was billowing in the wind. A woman, her husband, and her toddler lived in this house, unaware of what was happening. Suddenly a loud sound came from the front of the house, and the front door flew backwards, slamming into the wall. The woman screamed, and the toddler started crying. The husband raced downstairs, with a long, slender stick in his hand. He was determined to face the threat. When he saw who is was, however, his eyes widened and he knew he stood no chance. "Run Lily! Take Harry and run!" But she knew it was too late. She couldn't escape. The husband was blown back after only a few seconds, and his lifeless body lied in the hallway. The woman screamed. The man approached her. "Avada Kedevra!" A bright green light enveloped the room, and the woman slumped over. The man said the same words, and another green flash appeared, but this time it didn't work. The man screamed in agony and disappeared.
Harry woke in a cold sweat. Had he just remembered Voldemort killing his parents? He looked over at the clock. 2 am. He knew he would never go back to sleep, so he got out of bed and dressed. He looked back at the bed and realized that his wife wasn't with him. He whispered, "Ginny?" as he slowly walked into the living room. He saw her peacefully sleeping on the couch. He must have been snoring. Or maybe he had been kicking during his dream? He shook her awake. "What time is it," she croaked, while stretching her arms and legs. "2 am. But I wanted to ask why you are sleeping here." She stretched again, this time yawning while she did so. "You were kicking in your sleep, and I couldn't wake you." So he was kicking in his sleep. He walked back into the bedroom and plopped down on the bed, knowing he would be awake for hours.
In the morning he told Ginny about his dream. They had been married for a little over 2 months, and had gotten pretty comfortable with each other. "So you're sure that it was your parents dying?" She wasn't convinced. "Yes I am sure. Why else would he have referred to his wife as Lily and his son Harry?" Harry knew that it was Voldemort and his parents. But Ginny hadn't seen it, she wouldn't understand. He got up and left the table, headed for the bed. He got no sleep last night, as he was thinking about his dream. He knew he would never forget that dream.
A/N Okay. That was my first fanfic. Again, let me know how I did. I do plan on doing more fanfics, probably some mature ones thrown in there as well. Hope you enjoyed!
