I don't own Harry Potter. I wrote these one shots a long time ago, so please review and tell me if they're any good.
Chapter One: Phoenix Flames
A little red headed toddler was straining against the leash tied to her waist.
"Birdies? Can we see birdies?" Lily yelled out, making people look at the Potters like they were Death Eaters in a toy store. James and Albus were walking behind their parents, whispering occasionally.
James walked up to Ginny and asked, "Mama, can I hold Lily's leash?" Trying to sound desperate enough to be believable.
She eyed her son, and then finally handed the leash over to James. Albus lagged behind Harry in hopes to get a hold of his wizard's pocket knife. Albus sneaked behind his dad and slipped the knife out of his pocket. He gave a Snape grimace and handed the knife to his older brother. James snipped Lily's leash, sending the three year old girl running.
"Lily is free! Freeeeee!" She was off and running(towards the birdies). The family was at a witch and wizard zoo, unlike the pitiful Muggle zoos we know. Lily was in the phoenix house, her mom tailing behing her. Ginny made a grab for her idiot daughter, but it was too late; Lily had grabbed on to the tail feathers of a full grown phoenix, one that was definitely strong enough to carry her weight times ten. Before the zoo guards could draw their wands, Lily was hoisted high in the air. Suddenly, the phoenix burst into flames, leaving ashes on the ground and a Lily in the air. Lily was falling fast, but she landed on a bald man's shoulders. She kissed the top of his bald head, said, "Thank you" and climbed down the shocked mans leg.
She went to the ash pile and stared t it for two minutes, then screamed. A small pink, featherless bird had emerged from the mess. After Harry told her what it was after her shrieks of, "Kill it Daddy, kill it!" she scooped up the bird, stuffed it in her hoodie, and, as she ran out, muttered, "I'm keeping this flobby pink thing."
