Just One Simple Dance
She had danced with other men before even some men here at Court but dancing with Narcisse had been different from the beginning. He had held her differently and his touch was very distinctive. He had held her while they were dancing like she was a piece of precious porcelain that would break any second.
The feel of his strong yet surprisingly gentle arms upon her made Lola feel safe and assured like he would protect her against any and all evil that came her way. She felt sensations that she had never felt before as she danced with him. Narcisse made her feel lightheaded and a lot of the time speechless, unable to response.
"You are an exquisite dancer Lola but you could still use some instruction" he whispered again her ear and she shivered slightly at the sound of his voice. He had such a deep but soothing voice.
"I look forward to teaching you someday" she gulped at his suggestion and began to blush, suddenly finding their feet of great interest.
He put her a finger under her chin and raised her eyes to meet his once more.
"I have told you before many times to call me Stephane" he whispered against her ear once more. His breath softly tickled her ear and she felt suddenly weak at the knees.
Stephane chuckled softly at her embarrassment. He loved it when she blushed bringing a soft rose tinted color onto her pale face. She found the sound of his laugh to be a pleasant sound. Lola knew then that no matter how much she tried her best to avoid him , this would be the first of many such sudden encounters between them.
Suddenly the music stopped and she felt his arm left her waist. Lola felt suddenly bereft at the loss of his closeness. She bit her lip hard in thought, Lola had not found his firm touch to be completely unwanted, she had found it to be surprisingly pleasant. She knew she was not ready to explore more than that at this moment in time but Lola felt despite her wishes that Stephane had somehow began to claim a piece of her heart with just one simple dance.
