Undercover Vampire
AN: yes, I know. I'm in the middle of so many stories right now, but when I get an idea…well, you all understand. So here is another CSI s C/W story, Catherine/Warrick shippers, eat your hearts out. And review please!
Chapter One: Thanks to the Feds
"You want us to do what!" Catherine Willows' voice rose in shock. Warrick Brown leaned back in his chair, staring at the four people sitting across from them.
"You've got to be kidding," Warrick muttered, "Undercover is the cops' job, not CSI's."
"Well, now it's yours," Graveyard supervisor Gil Grissom said with a half smile.
Jim Brass just smiled at the Swing Shift CSIs. "You two have solved a case like this before-"
"No, we've never had to go undercover, we solved it like we solve every other case!"
"Catherine, we need you two to do this," Conrad Ecklie said softly. Warrick glared at the balding Assistant Director.
The fourth man stood up. His skin was tan, his hair a dark brown and slicked back. His suit was impeccable.
Damn Feds.
"This is Special Agent Ramirez, he knows you two can do this," Brass said.
Ramirez looked down at them, "You will both get paid triple of what you normally do."
"Well why didn't you say so?" Warrick asked sarcastically, "Because really, money is enough to let us forget that we could be letting people suck our BLOOD!"
Catherine gave a nervous laugh. Everyone went silent.
"Why do you need us to do this?" Warrick asked.
Ramirez sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Sixteen dead so far, all killed the same way, with a stake through their heart. All have fangs, much like the case you two worked two years back."
"And you think that because we worked this case, we know more than your federal agents?"
"You know Vegas, my agents don't. You two can penetrate the lower circle of hell and join the vamps."
Catherine and Warrick looked at each other. This could not be happening. Warrick shrugged, he was up for it if she was.
Catherine looked back at Ramirez. "What am I supposed to do with Lindsey while I'm off playing bloodsucker?"
"Doc Robbins has offered to take her for the duration," Grissom said.
Catherine sighed dramatically and leaned back in her chair.
"Fine."
Ramirez smiled dashingly at the CSIs. He pulled out a manila folder. "These will be your new identities."
They took the paper and looked at it. "Warrick is Aleron, and I'm Willow? Wow, that's original," Catherine said dryly.
Ramirez gestured with one hand. The door to Grissom's office opened and two people walked in. "These are our federal make up artists. They'll help you get ready."
Brass looked at the agents, "what about fangs?"
"Right," Ramirez snapped his fingers and a federal dentist walked in. He quickly mixed the molds and held them out to Catherine and Warrick. Catherine hated getting dental molds done.
She quickly opened her mouth and the dentist took the mold, and repeated the process with Warrick. Catherine looked ill as she attempted to get the taste out of her mouth.
"Two rooms have been set up for you two to get ready in."
"Whoa there, Ramirez, we start today?"
"Yes, Mr. Brown, we can't afford to wait any longer."
"Damn," Catherine muttered softly.
"Damn is right, as in, we are damned."
Catherine gave half a smile and stood up. Warrick followed suit. They looked at Grissom, Ecklie, Brass, and Ramirez.
"Well, I guess we'll be seeing ya," Warrick waved and followed the male make-up artist from the office.
Catherine glared at Ecklie, "You so owe us for this."
"I know."
"Don't you forget it!" Catherine walked out after the female make-up artist. This hell was all thanks to the feds.
