Okay, so here's what's up. I was going through my computer and I found this. It's not the best, and it's not edited, but I'm going to post it anyways because it's been a hell of a long time since I've posted something and I have forgotten what it feels like to be active in fandom. This little scene is a part of a larger AU that I've had in my head since the beginning of Season 3 and I have no idea if I will ever get around to writing the whole story. But I do have several scenes from it, so maybe I will post them. All you really need to know to understand this scene is that Blaine has a younger brother named Evan instead of an older one and that he is his brother's legal guardian. So without further ado….

Evan Anderson had to physically stop himself from giving his arm a pinch when he came around the corner of the apartment complex to find his brother sitting on the front step, a carton of cigarettes in one hand, a lighter in the other. Unable to contain his curiosity, he slowly sat down beside him. " Blaine, what the hell are you doing?"

Blaine turned towards him, and then quickly glanced back down at the items in his hands, before giving a shrug and pulling out a cigarette- an obvious attempt to appear nonchalant about the situation. " Having a smoke."

" Really?" Evan's eyebrows shot up. Having a smoke? I'm waiting for the mothership to come and take me home would have sounded more believable.

"Uh, yeah. Got a problem with that?"

" Oh, no. Go right ahead. In fact- " he reached over and grabbed a cigarette from the carton, whipped out his own lighter and lite it, " – mind if I join ya?"

Blaine stared at his younger brother for a moment, not saying anything. Clearly, whatever he had planned to happened when Evan came home from school wasn't happening.

Evan rolled his eyes as he let out a puff of smoke. " You do know that in order to smoke a cigarette you have to light it, right?"

Still, Blaine didn't respond.

" So…are you gonna tell me what's going on? Or am I going to have to guess? Cause for a guy who's into the whole acting thing, you're not giving me much to go on."

The silence continued as Blaine began to roll the cigarette back and forth between his thumb and middle finger. And then, " I don't know."

Evan frowned. He wasn't sure what answer he had expected- but it definitely wasn't that one. Blaine was a lot of things; dapper as hell, annoyingly( and slightly ironically) anal, and even absolutely adorable at times. But never unsure. Or openly insecure.

" I thought I would be all clever, you know," he continued with a sigh. " Say something like ' of course, I smoke. Why else would there be cigarettes in my house if they weren't mine?' But that doesn't really make sense, does it? I'm kind of pathetic, aren't I?"

" Yeah, yeah you are," Evan replied with a cheeky smirk and another drag of his cigarette. He hoped his brother would take his remark the way it was intended- an attempt to pull him out of his obvious stupor and not some form of belittlement.

Blaine turned to face Evan; his head tilted as if to ponder what was being said. " When did you become such a smart ass?"

Evan's smirk grew. " Oh, I've always been a smart ass. You just didn't notice, because until recently all you cared about was your piano." He paused for a moment. " And your lack of a sex life."

Blaine raised an eyebrow. " Lack of a sex life?"

Evan snorted. " You cover Disney songs in your spare time."

"So?"

" You're 24."

"Your point?"

" I get more action then you."

" Excuse me?"

Evan grinned. " You heard me."

So what do you think? Do you want more from this AU? Reviews would of course make me happy and might motivate me to get back into writing on a regular basic.
