It has been a week since Ty started giving me these looks. I'd caught him staring at me at least once and a few times I caught him in a daydream.
Not only was Ty giving me looks, but I'd started dreading when he had to leave and whenever we were in close proximity I would get butterflies in my stomach. I was starting to really like Ty.
I was mucking out a stall when two hands put themselves on my hips. My heart was fluttering so I knew it was Ty. I turned around and there was Ty. He was just standing there smiling at me and some music came on.
"Dance with me," he said.
"But…" I tried to protest, but I really did want to dance with him.
"Come. Please." His hands stayed on my hips and he pulled me into the middle of the barn and I played my arms around his neck and we swayed to the music.
"Amy?" said Ty softly, almost nervously.
"Yea?"
"I'm not sure if you know already, but I like you."
"Like me? As if-" I didn't get to finish my question because Ty put his lips over mine. Ty's arms around my waist tightened and I kissed back slightly. Ty pulled back and nodded to my unfinished question, but I didn't see him because my eyes were closed, bit I somehow knew.
"Yes, Amy," he stated.
"Ty?" I said, opening my eyes now and looking into his.
"Yes."
"I like you. A lot," I said smiling. We were still in the same position as before.
He smiled and kissed me softly again. I loved his kisses even though I'd only had two. They made me feel safe and they showed how he felt.
"Are we dating now?" I asked hopefully.
"Yea," he said ginning.
"The song's on repeat, aye?"
"Yea."
"I love this song."
"Me too, you will love the next song then too. I'll be right back," and he left me for a minute and changed the song from Drew Sidora feat. Mario – For The Love to Billie Holiday – I'll Be Seeing You.
"You were right, come on, we have to finish our stuff, but leave the music on."
"Ok, I'll see you soon," he said and kissed me quickly before getting back to work.
A few hours later, me and Ty were in the kitchen cooking. Lou and Scott had decided to go out for dinner and then Lou would be staying at his for the night and grandpa was staying with his friends and Ty told me to sit while he cooked. He was cooking me a concoction of something he'd made. It had broccoli, cauliflower, baby corn, carrots, chicken, and soy sauce.
I put a blanket in the lounge and two candles on each table, one at each end of the couch. Just as I was sitting down, Ty came in with our dinner and we sat down together and ate.
"Mmmm… delicious. I love it, Ty."
"Its getting better."
"Better? I don't think it can get any better. Its amazing!"
"Thanks," he said, blushing slightly. We put our plates in the sink, then went and lay down. Ty lay down on his back on the couch and I lay down on my stomach on him, my head on his chest. Ty's hands lay on the small of my back with the blanket over both of us.
We lay in silence until Ty broke it.
"I don't actually just like you," he said gently.
"Huh?" I said, looking up at him.
"I love you, Amy," he whispered softly.
"I'm on the edge of a cliff about to fall in love."
"Ok, can we sleep her tonight?"
"Yea, k, I'm just gonna go change, I'll be right back."
I walked to my room and quickly got changed into my pyjamas which basically consisted of a white wife beater and my dark blue pyjama pants that had stars all over them, and then thought about what Ty had said to me.
He loved me.
Ty loved me.
Ty Baldwin loved Amy Fleming.
I walked back down and Ty was wearing boxers and not much else.
"Sorry, its just how I usually sleep," he said going to grab his top.
"I like you better like that," I said cheekily.
He smiled and said, "Come here," with his arms open. I walked over and lay back down in my prior position.
Ty put the blanket back over us and I dozed off. As I dozed off, I heard Ty say, "I love you, Amy, always and forever."
Always and Forever.
