A/N: So, I was bored, and had my word processor open, and was in a NaruSaku mood. Then this was born. Enjoy this crazy little oneshot. It made me laugh!
The room was cast in darkness, the only light coming from the television screen, intense and powerful. The contrast made him have to squint on occasions. He was engrossed in an anime playing on the screen, so much that he didn't notice when she rested her head on his shoulder, or that she'd fallen asleep. When the show switched to a commercial though, he noticed that a pink-haired kunoichi had snuggled up beside him and was snoring softly, her arms wrapped around his neck.
Naruto blinked, staring at her peaceful face in surprise. A blush began to form on his face. She looks so relaxed. He thought.
"Naruto…" Sakura mumbled in her sleep. She's dreaming about me? He thought. I wonder what it's about?
"Yea?" He whispered, grinning.
"Don't eat that ramen…Tsunade poisoned it!" She replied, her face transforming into a frustrated and worried expression. Huh? Naruto thought, his eyes wide. That's….an…odd dream….
"NO! IT'S A TRAP!" Sakura suddenly screamed, and her eyes flung wide open. Her head shot up, and her nose bumped into his cheek. He blinked, startled by her sudden outburst. She froze for a moment, and then looked down to see her arms wrapped around his neck and how close they were.
"Um…" She blushed, looking embarrassed.
"Oh, just leave it like this." Naruto told her, waving a hand. He narrowed his eyes at her. "What the heck were you dreaming about?" Her flustered expression turned into that of horror.
"There was this bowl of ramen sitting on your kitchen table, and Tsunade was somehow in your house and poisoned it! Then she snuck out, and the dream switched to later, and you walked into your kitchen and saw it. You went toward it and were going to eat it, and I tried to warn you it was poisoned, but you didn't listen, and ate it anyways! Then you fell on the floor writhing in pain and died! It was scary!" She explained. He stared at her for a few moments, unsure of how to respond. Then he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her into his lap. She opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted by him.
"You don't have to worry about that, Sakura-chan. Nothing can poison me!" He boasted, grinning. She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, leaning into him.
"Have fun believing that, but I guarantee you something can." She replied, a mischievous glint in her jade eyes.
"Um…what do you mean by that?"
"Oh, nothing."
The next day, Sakura came over to Naruto's house and heated up some Instant Ramen for him. But, while he had his head in the fridge, she dumped an entire bottle of pepper into it.
