The night was long.

Not that Remus minded. He liked the long night. He never could go to sleep until the early hours of the morning. Usually when he was alone, he'd waste away the hours staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. But tonight he had something else to stare at.

The pale moon shone through a crack in the curtains, illuminating her face. Her beautiful mussed pink hair shimmered in the dim light. it was, all in all, one of the most beautiful sights he had ever seen.
he couldn't take his eyes off her. The way her lips were ever so slightly parted, how her eyelashes shone in the light. The way she moved whenever he did, almost like a planet orbiting a sun. how she would snuggle closer and sigh. Remus didn't know what he had stared at for longer in his life- her or the ceiling. It was definitely close though.

A slight tremor ran through her body, and her eyes flickered open. He blushed, looking away. However much he liked to stare, he didn't like to get caught.

But Tonks just sniggered, and pulled his arms around her, kissing his chest gently. Now he couldn't look away. She pressed her lips lightly against his own. He sighed. Life with Tonks always seemed so easy.

But how could life ever be this simple?
