The Remains
I am the Sage of Six Paths, and these are my final words to any foolish enough to begin reading this.
Turn back now, if you value your life, do not read any further, destroy this document, burn it without looking, scatter the remains, do not unleash this horror upon the world.
...
If you have read beyond there, you are doomed, this contains something that I would not entrust to either of my sons, only to my creations, for only they have the power to delay this thing.
This thing is a tall, slender, faceless, elderitch thing. I have given it no name, but my creations have, the Thin White Duke, The Slender Man, Death's Flesh, World's End, God's Nemisis. It's name matters not, what does matter is that it will end you if you know of it. Information is it's medium, and nothing shall stop it. If you heed my warning, create a new message, and hide it under far more protection than I have, for if nothing is known in the world about it, it will appear to any, and all shall die.
I lay now on my death bed, waiting, waiting for it to come, so that I may trap it with my corpse. A civilization is nothing to stop this, let alone one mad, despite him being the most powerful in the world.
You have wasted your life by reading this. Follow what I have said to preserve the world, keep this information secret, watch your toung at all times, watch your back, for all shall be lost if you don't, and may any who learn of this from you rot in hell, for they have doomed all.

I'm here, thank you for unleashing me once more upon the world, I promise that you won't regret it, at least, not for long.
A hand, one belonging to a man who had just been defeated by his most bitter rival, dropped the message. Readjusting his orange mask, he began plotting to defeat this thing, or destroy it.
The note was on the ground many years later, only for it to be picked up in the middle of a war. Picked up by a pale hand, belonging to a curious man, one who had wandered from his companions, soon to fight the greatest battle of his young life, one that would cement his place in the annals of history.
