This is my first time writing something like this. I hope it's not too bad. There's not an actual plot. Just random scenes i love to imagine between them. Some will be split between 2-3 chapters, but most will be a chapter for each. Rated M for future chapters.

Kate Beckett awoke to the sound of rain. It was light, which was soothing – the storm had finally passed. She looked at her watch, 4am. In an hour, she would be getting ready to go to the precinct and get started on a fresh case. At least, that's what she would do if she hadn't resigned. However, she had no regret over what she did, for it had led her to open a new chapter in her life.

She looked over to Castle, who was still sleeping peacefully, tangled in most of the blankets. A cover hog, great. She thought, as a smile formed across her face. She watched him for a moment – admiring the sight of him. They were finally together. He had been so patient, waiting for her to be ready – even through times when there seemed to be no hope for either of them. A feeling of warmth filled her body. She felt safe next to him. A feeling she thought she'd never experience again after her mother's murder.

Slowly moving the sheets off her, Kate maneuvered herself on top of Castle and began to trail kisses against his neck and down to his chest. He moaned, but remained sleeping. Kate bit her lip, as she softy brushed her fingers against his lips. After the way he gave in last night, she knew that was a weakness of his. He couldn't resist her touch. Who could?

"You shouldn't…" Castle whispered, suddenly grabbing her by the waist and switching their positions so that he was now on top, "…tease the tiger!" Kate laughed, putting her hands against his face and pulling him in for a kiss. His lips were intoxicating. She loved the way he devoured her whenever their lips touched. It left her gasping for air, wanting more each time.

As their kiss faded into smaller, gentle kisses, he ran his hand through her messy, morning hair and smiled.

"Good morning." Castle whispered, staring into her beautiful, brown eyes.

"Morning." Kate responded, giving him a smile. It had been too long since she smiled that way – so full of happiness and hope. For once, there was nothing to prevent her from being happy. She was ready to let go of everything that had been keeping her from living. Keeping her from being with the one man who stood by her through so much.

"Pancakes?" Castle asked, a smile forming on his face, "I promise there won't be a dead body at the front door this time." They both laughed. It was the first time they laughed about it. Of all the cases they worked together, that was the one they remembered most – as he was the writer and she the inspiration.

"Shower first." Kate stated, biting her lip as she entwined her legs between the blankets.
