"Shy"

Jaffar thought he was alone. He hoped he was alone. He wasn't.

"Omigosh! Jaffar! Are you alright?" Nino asked as she ran over to him. It was bad enough that he actually tripped on his own cape, but having Nino see him?

"I'm fine."

"You took a pretty hard fall. Are you sure? Here, let me look."

"I'm fine." Jaffar felt the blush on his face and quickly turned to flee the scene. He walked down to the river and took off his shirt. He did take a hard fall. His arm was skinned, as was his knee, part of his chin and shoulder.

"Damn. I haven't taken this much damage in battle." he mumbled under his breath. As he stripped down to nothing but underclothes, he waded into the water to wash out the cuts. The water wasn't warm; more like slightly above freezing. He shivered and continued to clean his wounds.

"Jaffar?" Nino said.

"Nino!" he said, slipping on the river floor and went underwater. He stood up, couching up water, and again making an utter fool of himself. He looked down at his indecent body and dropped back into the water. Nino turned her head and raised an eyebrow.

"Jaffar? What's wrong with you?"

"N-nothing." He was stuttering now. The blush in his face, clearly pronounced now. Nino walked over to the waters edge and felt the temperature. She shivered.

"Get out of that water Jaffar! You're going to get sick. Come here." she pleaded.

"I don't have proper clothing on." Nino's eyes lit up and a grin was plastered on her face.

"Are, are you shy Jaffar?"

"...What does shy mean?"

"You know, like, afraid of people. Like, embarrassed around people."

"Oh."

"Are you shy? Is that you've been acting funny today?"

"Only… around… you."

Nino waded into the water and held his hand. "I promise I won't look." Her smile made the Angel of Death smile. He blushed again.

"...O-okay." Nino closed her eyes and they walked out of the river. Nino walked a couple steps behind him and slightly opened one eye. Jaffar's back and arms were solid muscle and she couldn't help but stare as his toned physique. Jaffar turned around and saw Nino peeking. His eyes grew large and he blushed fiercely.

"You said… you wouldn't look…"

"I'm sorry. I only opened my eyes a little to see where I was going but, um…" Nino's voice trailed off.

"But?"

"I've never seen you without your cloak and you're so… handsome!" Nino said, now blushing.

"...Really?"

"Yeah!"

"…I think… you're handsome too." Nino giggled at his remark and gave him a tight hug.
