Chapter 1-Rosario Confusion
A bus is driving along the road, pretty normal if you don't think about the fact that there are only two passengers in the bus, a kid in a green school uniform and the bus driver. The formal is a boy who has messy black hair, brown eyes, and a jeweled ring on his right middle finger.
"So is this your first time going to Yokai Academy, kid?" the bus driver asked the kid on the back of the bus, "Yeah." the Kid said while fiddling with his ring on his finger.
"Then believe me when I tell you that the Academy is a SCARY PLACE." The bus driver said in an ominous voice.
"I've dealt with worse." The kid said simply. "May I ask the name of my passenger." The bus driver asked, impressed by the boy's lack of fear. "Caelum Noct Garr." the now introduced Caelum told the bus driver.
By then the bus got out of a tunnel, and the outside looked kind of depressing with all of the dead plants and tombstones."Well, here is where we part ways, see you soon Garr." the bus driver said as Caelum got out of the bus, then he just drove off leaving Caelum at a very strange yet creepy place.
"Well, I guess that creepy building over there has to be the school or something," Caelum said as he started walking towards the only building at the area.
Then suddenly "LOOOOOKKKKK OOOUUUUUT!" there was a yell followed by the squeaking of a bike, Caelum turned around just in time to see a bike run straight into him, "Ow." Caelum said painfully as he fell onto his back, then he felt somethi, no SOMEONE else on top of him.
The mysterious person suddenly stands up "I'm sorry, I'm anemic and my vision kind of got blurry."
The mysterious person was revealed to be a pink-haired, green-eyed girl. "I'm fine," Caelum said as he got up, then the side of his head started bleeding.
"You're bleeding." the girl said as she grabbed a handkerchief from her pocket and started dabbing at the spot that is bleeding, then she stopped and sniffed the air, "Your blood smells so sweet…" she said as her head is moving closer to Caelum's neck "...sorry but I am a vampire" then she bit Caelum's neck.
"Uh, what are you doing?" Caelum asked, ignoring the pain.
The girl quickly stopped and suddenly stood up, then she started apologizing, "I'm sorry, it was just that your blood smelt so good so I couldn't help myself, anyway, I'm sorry." she said quickly.
"It's okay you don't need to apologize," Caelum said quickly.
After sorting that out they started walking to the school together "I think I accidentally broke my bike." The girl pouted as they kept on walking to the school. Caelum, feeling a little sorry for the girl, decided to introduce himself "Anyway, my name is Caelum Noct Garr, mind telling me your name?" Caelum asked.
"My name is Moka Akashiya, and I know we just met but can we be friends?" she asked, looking very nervous.
"I thought we were already friends," Caelum said, and Moka made a facial expression that looked like Caelum's when he went to the Assassin's Festival for the first time.
She then started hopping up and down with joy while saying "Thank you" multiple times. After her outburst of thankfulness, which Caelum thought looked kind of adorable, he stated: "We should go to the school now, we don't want to be late for the assembly."
After the assembly, Caelum went to his homeroom, but when he looked at his homeroom teacher, he could not get rid of the idea that she kinda reminded him of a cat."Oh, hello and you must be…Caelum Noct Garr, is that right?" She asked while looking at a sheet of paper that Caelum could assume is a list of everyone's names.
"Yep." He said simply, trying to get over the fact that her hair reminded him of cat ears.
"Excellent, you may sit wherever you like." the teacher explained with excitement.
Caelum decided to sit at the front of the class, thanks to some of Ignis' personality, which allows him to be studious and quickly plan out combat strategies. The teacher got started with her introduction when everyone else got in. "Hello class I am your homeroom teacher, you may call me Miss Nekonome." The teacher, now introduced as Nekonome said.
"Now I am sure all of you are aware of this, but this is a school for monsters."
'Wait, what?!' Caelum thought, making sure he heard the teacher right "Anyway…" Nekonome continued. "Our current situation is that humans right now are the dominant species, so this school will teach you how to coexist with said humans," Nekonome explained.
"But teach…" a voice suddenly spoke up, Caelum turned his head to see who spoke, the said person was a man with blond hair and piercings. "Could we just eat the humans, and maybe have a little fun with the.." He didn't finish his sentence, due to Caelum suddenly speaking up.
"You know if you do that, one of two things will happen, one, you will make us all look bad, or two, they will just send in the military and kill you." Caelum said while trying to pretend that he was not part human, due to the fact that now he can use magic 'At least I can pretend I am a wizard or something' Caelum thought to himself.
By now the student behind him started getting angry, but couldn't get a word out as Nekonome quickly changed the subject "Anyway the good news is that there is a powerful barrier surrounding the school, so no humans can get in."
Caelum, using some of Ignis' personality, suddenly spoke. "Let me guess, does that mean that any human caught in the school ground will be executed?" He said, while subconsciously using a British accent.
"Yes, that is I think so," Nekonome said.
By then the door to the classroom opened, and was greeted by a voice that Caelum recognized, "Sorry I'm late, after the assembly, I kind of got lost." said the voice, who Caelum knew was Moka.
By then all the males, except for Caelum, were all lost in their fantasies about the girl who just walked into the room. Caelum, being the type to get his friends out of weird situations, spoke up, "Hey Moka." He greeted.
Moka looked straight at Caelum, then tackled him while saying "Oh my gosh, I can't believe we are in the same class together Caelum!" She exclaimed excitedly.
By then all of the students looked, the guys saying things like, "I am going to kill him." while the girls, who just now started to have a crush on Caelum, were saying things like "I am going to kill her."
After class, Moka grabbed Caelum's hand and started dragging him around the school, all the while all of the students were staring at them, saying things like "Are they a couple?" or "Why is she with him, she should be with me." and some females were saying things like "He should be with me." "Caelum look at this food court, isn't it amazing?" Moka asked, sounding very excited.
They walked to the vending machine, Moka bought a can of tomato juice, while Caelum bought a can of Ebony Coffee. When they sat down and started to drink their beverages, the male with piercings walked straight towards them, while looking at Moka with "interest".
"Hello…" He introduced himself to Moka "...my name is Sazao, and may I ask.." the newly introduced Sazao said while lifting up Caelum by his shirt "...why don't you hang out with me, instead of this shrimp here."
This made Caelum really angry, so angry that he did not realize that his irises were changing from brown, to a glowing purple, and that he is getting surrounded with crystal shards, of course, everyone else saw this, and they were slowly backing away, "Maybe it's because she does not like people like you." He said while some people could slightly see that his ring is glowing.
Sazao, out of fear of what he is seeing, drops Caelum. Caelum lands feet first on the ground, but right before he could do anything, Moka grabs his hand, and started running, dragging Caelum with her, while saying, "Sorry, but I am only friends with nice people." Moka said.
Soon afterward, the crowd could see that Caelum's eyes went back to their brown color, the crystal shards disappeared, and his ring stopped glowing.
Sazao looked on, then he went to Moka's abandoned can of tomato juice, picked it up, then crushed it 'I am going to kill him' Sazao thought.
Moka basically dragged Caelum to the roof of the school, and while she was panting for breath, she looked at Caelum and said "That was scary.", "Yeah, it was," Caelum said, wondering why Moka stopped him.
"At least a fight did not start." Moka said, but Caelum knew the next question, "So Caelum, what type of monster are you?" The second Moka asked that Caelum started freaking out, so he came up with the most reasonable answer, "Why do you ask?" Caelum asked while trying to hide the fact that he is nervous.
"Well, it is just that when we encountered Sazao, your eye color turned into a glowing purple…" 'Crap' Caelum thought.
Moka continued "... and you were also surrounded by floating crystal shards, to tell you the truth, it was kinda scary." Moka said. 'Well, crap might as well tell her the truth' Caelum thought.
"Moka, I am the reincarnation of King Noctis Lucis Caelum…" Moka made a confused expression, so Caelum continued "When night veils the world, I have to fight the star scourge and bring back the day to the world." Caelum finished.
"So, are you going to help the Yokai realm or the Human world?" Moka asked.
"Why do you ask?" Caelum questioned "Because, I hope that you don't have to help those evil humans." after Moka said that, then Caelum knew that he had to tell her the whole truth.
"Moka, you may see humans as evil because you might have told them that you were a monster, and they most probably did not believe you, but I'm a human, and if you decide that we cannot be around much longer than I understand," Caelum said to the now shocked Moka.
"I'm going to my dorm room." He said while he was walking to his dorm room.
"Caelum wait, I didn't know." Moka tried to get his attention, but he already left. Moka, not knowing where the dorms are at, tried to find Caelum, but then, "Why hello…" Moka turned around and found out that the voice belonged to none other than Sazao, "...so…" He continued, "...what is a pretty girl like you doing…" he said as Moka started to notice that he was slowly changing to his monster form, "...walking by yourself…" Now completely in his monster form, he started walking towards her while saying, "...maybe you could have some company, or maybe, I could use you as bait."
Caelum was going to the dorms when suddenly, "SOMEONE, HELP ME!" Someone yelled. Caelum recognized that voice and knew that it belonged to Moka, so, while using Gladiolus' speed, sprinted over to where Moka screamed and saw her being attacked by a strange beast.
Caelum, thinking quickly, summoned his greatsword, known as Force Stealer, and threw it at the beast, causing him to warp.
Moka was staring in horror, but before Sazao could do anything he suddenly yelped in pain, she looked at his back and saw a strange looking greatsword with an engine attached to its hilt in his back. She then saw a hand appear on the handle, she followed the hand to the arm, then to the head, and she saw Caelum's face, leaving her shocked.
Caelum did a front flip, causing the sword to slash downward. Suddenly, Sazao turned around, and threw a nearby tombstone at Caelum, causing Caelum to start flying back.
Caelum, trying to grab something, reached out and grabbed Moka's Rosario, causing it to snap off of her chain, " My Rosario." Moka exclaimed in slight shock.
Then Moka got surrounded by bats, and the weather became a storm, and when the bats stopped circling around her, her appearance changed to that of a slightly taller woman with white hair and red eyes. Caelum, after getting over his shock of seeing Moka's sudden transformation, noticed that he was holding her Rosario.
Sazao, slightly surprised by the transformation, tried to tackle "Moka", but then she dodged him, and kicked him in Caelum's direction.
Caelum, thinking quickly, summoned his Force Stealer, lightly tossed it up in the air so that it can be slightly above Sazao's head, warped to the handle, and used the side and weight of the sword so that the side of the blade smacks the top of Sazao's head, knocking him out.
"Moka", quickly getting over Caelum's unique fighting style, started to walk towards him, "I have never seen someone fight like that..." She said while looking at his sword, "...and I am pretty sure that I have not seen a normal human summon a greatsword and teleport just by throwing it." She finished while looking at him suspiciously.
"Didn't I tell you, I am the reincarnation of King Noctis, he has the ability to summon weapons and warp." he said as he took Moka's hand and put her Rosario on it, "I also think I should give you a greatsword," Caelum said simply.
"Moka" looked at him questionably, like he just told her that he has just gifted her a million Gil, "You think I need a greatsword?" Moka asked, then Caelum summoned the greatsword Gladiolus was entrusted with, the Iron Duke, "Sure, I am going have to show you how to summon this, but I'm sure that you can handle it, plus you just kicked that thing and he went flying that way, so I'm sure you can handle it." He said while pointing at Sazao.
"Okay, I will take the weapon, but in return, I want you to take care of my other self, will you?" She said as she grabbed the Iron Duke, "Sure, and now that you're holding that, you can let go and it will disappear, and if you want to summon it, it will appear in your hand." Caelum explained while pointing to the weapon.
"Moka" did what Caelum said and watched as the sword disappear, then she slightly made a fist, watching the sword reappear into existence.
After making her weapon disappear once again, she looked at Caelum, "I thank you for this weapon…", she said while taking her Rosario to her chain, "... and you can call me Ura, but only when I wake up." she said before she reattached her Rosario.
