Link's POV (As a wolf):

I was turned back into a wolf, although I was in the light. Midna was sickly, and dying, because she too was in the light.

The cold night air blew against me, and ruffled my fur. Midna breathed heavily; her warm yet chilling breath floated around my neck.

It began to rain. It was pouring, in fact.

There was no one around for miles, except for Midna and I. Her breathing was getting softer every minute, and I felt her presence leaving me.

The Hyrule Castle stood in front of me. Prodigiously, it towered over the field. A large moat was in front of it; I considered crossing it, until I noticed that the gates were closed.

Desperately, I looked around the large field, trying to find a way out. Seeing that the western part would bring me to castle town, I quickly ran through the area, until I made it over the bridge and into the town.

I was soaked. Soaking wet. I was coughing, despite my being a wolf. All the people turned away from me in fear and disgust as I walked down the streets, however, the cats and frogs happily shot the breeze with me.

As I walked to the castle gates, I knew I wasn't welcome. The guards were shooing me away, yet, they wouldn't dare hit me. When I walked back down the stairs, my doggie instinct took over; I saw a bone! Gladly, I ran over to it, and realized that this is what it felt like to wag your tail. I grabbed the bone in my mouth, and ran to Telma's bar.

Again, I was turned away by a human. I was kicked out. As I slowly walked away, knowing that there was no hope, I spotted a large, white cat on top of some crates.

"You are the one called Link, correct?".

The cat jumped off of the crates, and strutted over to me. She began to sniff me, then continued to talk.

"Mmm, yes, I thought so. I could just tell, you know."

The glare in her eyes sent a chill up my spine.

"I'm Louise." she introduced herself. She walked a bit farther away.

"Do you remember meeting me in this shop before?" she asked. I pondered on the thought for a moment, but before I could answer, she continued to talk.

"Though I don't think we were properly introduced." Louise explained.

"In any case," she said, pacing around the alley ,"I must tell you, I'm a bit puzzled as to why you look like that.".

She circled around me, and turned her nose up to me. "Really, dear, you can't blame the humans for tossing you out, the way you look.".

Suddenly, she stopped walking, and looked up. "Oh... Another Patient?" she asked. Louise jumped up a bit, and rested her paws on my side, sniffing Midna.

"You certainly are a curious sort..." she said, scoffing.

"Plea... Please..." Midna begged, frightning me. I didn't expect her to talk as sick as she was!

"Princess...Z-Zelda..." she managed to say. Louise backed off of my side, and took a few steps back.

She hopped on top of the crates, and gestured her head towards the hole near them. "This way!" she loudly said.

The rain started to get faster and faster every second; it was already above my paws!

Louise shouted louder this time. "Here, get in through the window. The attic is connected to the castle's waterway. It's an old waterway, though..." she explained ,"So it could be a rough trip.".

She jumped down onto a lower box, and looked straight into my eyes. "Well... I suppose all that's left to do is make sure that the humans don't notice you.".

Louise leaped off of the boxes, and splashed into the water. Still, in a cat fashion, she strutted over near the door of the bar.

I took a deep breath, climbed up onto the boxes, and walked through the hole.

I hoped I could still have enough time to save Midna's life.
