A/N: Okay, well, this is my first Fanfic. I don't know how anyone will like my writing so i am only putting up a short chapter [i do not wish to embarrass myself]. I would like to also say that I am not a very good writer, i accept constructive criticism with an open mind, but i would love nice reviews. -Tears
I do not own Bleach, Tite Kubo does, i own a chocolate bar.
The first time Lace saw the half-masked man was when she first moved to town. She had not even unpacked when she noticed him. Her silent footsteps followed the souls presence until she finally found a man. His eyes were green, cold, and they seeped right through her skin. She knew he was not human, nor a soul.
Turing around gracefully on one heel she noticed, now, that he had moved to the tree behind her. She knew he had noticed her, to her, it seemed like he knew everything. Trying to be as silent as possible, as if it would make him miss her movements, Lace inched back. Behind Lace, without her knowing, was another masked man. She let out a silent gasp when a sword pierced through her stomach, but did not fall when it was pulled back. She coughed a pool of blood into her hand, but still did not fall. Instead she leaned over, balancing with her hands on her knees.
"You're going to die, why not do it sitting down." The man with the sword told her after only a second.
"Obviously," the girl started, "I do not want to fall."
The green-eyed man turned and started to walk away. The sword was pushed through her organs for the last time before the blue haired man walked away to catch up his comrade. When the blue haired man looked back the girl was leaning against a tree breathing in deeply. "We didn't even catch her name."
Lace imbedded the image of the two men into her mind, she remembered every detail of the men, the way they smelt, their spiritual pressure, and the way they walked. Not one thing could escape her minds eye. All Lace could actually think about, though, was the fact nothing was useful now that she was dying.
The pain that engulfed her mind was horrid, she could feel everything. And so, to stop the pain, Lace hit her hand against the tree with all of her will. Now all that she would feel was the throbbing and smashed bones in her hand. Of course, she could still see the blood that was quickly coving her shirt, but ignored it as best as she could.
Limping away, towards her new home, Lace finally noticed another man. Al her minds eye could pick up before her collapse was a green hat and a large smile.
