Blue Cookies

Annabeth's P.O.V
Annabeth pushed Percy in a shopping cart around the store. They were getting ingrdients for making chocolate chip cookies. But not just chocolate chip cookies, blue chocolate chip cookies. Percy jokingly hopped in the cart, but when Annabeth started to push it he didn't get out. As she pushed it, Percy grabbed what they needed off the shelves (if he could reach it from inside the cart). They had flour, sugar and baking soda already, but they needed more ingrediants. So eventually, they filled their cart with kosher salt, sticks of butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, 4 containers of blue food coloring (because Percy goes through it very quickly), and semi-sweet chocolate chips (and a regualar chocolate bar so Percy wouldn't try to eat all of the chocolate chips). They checked out and headed back to their dorm on the college campus of New Rome. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon, so they decided that cookies were the best solution to boredom. Percy unloaded the groceries while Annabeth pre-heated the oven and got out the bowls, trays, measuring cups, and spoons. When everything was set up, they got to work. Annabeth measured the baking soda, flour and salt, and percy whisked it together. Percy took the left over flour and snuck up behind Annabeth, and dumped it on her. "SEAWEED BRAIN!" she yelped. She took two eggs out of the carton and smashed them on his head. "Touche, wise girl." he said, wiping the dripping yolk away from his eyes. They mixed the butter and sugars, and then added the eggs, followed by the vanilla extract. Annabeth did all of the measuring (and made sure they were following the recipe correctly), and Percy did all of the mixing, covering the counter with whatever fell out of the bowl. "TIME FOR CHOCOLATE!" Percy yelled. He was about to eat some of the chocolate chips, but Annabeth quickly waved a chocolate bar under his nose. So Percy munched on the chocolate bar, occasionally feeding a piece to his girlfriend while she mixed in the chocolate. "Want to do the honors?" she asked, handing Percy the blue food coloring. He fed Annabeth the last piece of chocolate, and put way too much food coloring in than nesscessary. Annabeth put the cookies a couple of inches apart on the tray. After she put them in, Percy ambushed her with the sugar, so she countered with the brown sugar. Soon the kitchen was a mess and they stood in the middle of it. Percy put his hand on her cheek and kissed her, getting egg and brown sugar on her, and flour and regular sugar on him. Soon enough, the cookies were done, and they ate them while laughing and talking. That my friends, is the best way to turn around a boring afternoon.
