A cool breeze settled over the grass, making the trees rustle slightly. The blond haired ninja stared up at the clear blue sky. The sky matched his crystal eyes perfectly. Naruto sighed and didn't bother to stand up.

"Naruto!" Kakashi scolded, "You did poorly. Go take a lap around the training site."

"I'm injured!" the boy complained, sitting up.

"You tripped over a rock," Sakura said to him, holding up the gray stone. She carelessly tossed it from one hand to the other. Naruto stood up slowly and mumbled something. He either said I really hate taking laps or Pillsbury toaster strudel, but you can never be so sure since Naruto says a lot of things. He ran past Sasuke and through the trees.

He heard someone behind him, but ignored it because he knew who it was. "Why are you running?" Naruto asked. "I wanted to take a break from training," Sakura said hesitantly. The rosette caught up to the blond, sprinting by his side. They were running towards a field they had never seen before. At the field was a squad they had never seen before. There was a woman—the instructor—two girls, and a boy. Sakura and Naruto were a good distance away, but could see the strange group well. Naruto slowed his pace, now watching the group. Sakura stopped in her tracks, too.

"Who are they?" she asked.

"I dunno," he responded. "I wonder why there are two girls and one guy. Isn't there supposed to be only one girl?"

"I think so."

The instructor had short blond hair and green eyes. She wore a net long sleeve with a cropped brown tank top under that. She also wore a skirt with Capri pants underneath. The one boy had tawny hair and brown eyes, wearing a black shirt and gray shorts. One of the girls had white-blond hair to her shoulders and gray eyes. Her white skirt and pale blue top matched her pale skin well. The other girl had brown hair with red streaks in it and dark brown eyes. Her cropped, black quarter-sleeve shirt showed her shoulders. She had black and red netting underneath. She wore a skort and leg warmers with her sandals.

The odd squad paid no attention to Sakura and Naruto. Even if they knew the two were watching, the team could care less.

"Naruto, we need to get back to Kakashi and Sasuke," Sakura said. "He'd give us another lap if we didn't hurry back."

"I actually wouldn't mind another lap," he said. "I want to watch."

Sakura started running, her long pink hair flowing behind. Naruto slowly went after her. The group in the field finally looked up, watching the two genin disappear into the trees.
