It was an incredibly long day on the tenth floor. Far too much paper work and patient care. Hardly enough time eat, pee, even breathe sometimes. She spent the whole day hustling around the ward, making sure orders were right, over-seeing the student nurses. In a word, she was exhausted.
The drive home seemed interminable. She shut off the radio after the same song played for the second time in ten minutes. It was all she could do to keep her mind focused on the road.
But coming home made it all better. Jason would have food ready, the kids would be settled in, she could relax. It felt good to have a man she loves in her life, two beautiful, healthy children… It was a calm after the tsunami that was Lucky.
She dropped her keys by the door and pulled off her jacket.
"Guys," she called, walking through the house. "Jase…"
She sat on the couch, just planning to take a short break before calling Jason's cell. Unfortunately, her body made another decision. The minute her back connected with the couch, her eyes fluttered shut. Instead of fighting the feeling, she curled up on the couch for what she figured would be a short nap.
What seemed like only minutes later, Elizabeth heard a key in the lock. Blearily, she sat up and blinked in the general direction of the door. Her vision cleared, and the Jason, Cameron and Jake shaped figures became sharper. She then noticed that they were all wearing impeccably tailored suits. Even the baby.
"Hi guys," she said, "What's the occasion?"
Cameron looked up to Jason for his cue. Jason smiled and nodded at the boy and Cameron stepped up to the couch.
Surprise flashed across Liz's face as the little boy, joined by Jason holding Jake behind him, got down on one knee, a little black box in his tiny hand.
"Mommy, will you marry us?"
Liz's eyes glistened as she beamed at her oldest son. She turned her eyes to Jason, who stood expectantly, Jake nodding off in his arms.
"Of course I will, honey."
Come home from a long day at work Liz was tired. Her life couldn't be better she was with the man that she loved and has two beautiful children. As Liz looked around their home she began to wonder where was everybody . On typical day when she returned home her men would greet her at the door with cam screaming and running into her arms for a hug and Jake giving her a big tooth grin from his playpen. But she look forward to the most was a hug and a kiss from Jason.
Liz figured they must be a the park she thought, she walks over to the couch intent on having a nap before they returned and she had to start dinner. Just as she closed her eyes the front door opened and what she saw brought tears to her eyes. Jason, Cameron, and Jake stood before her dressed identically in beautiful Black Armani tux.
"Well hello why are you guy all dressed up?"
Cameron looking at Jason for his cue. Jason nods his head and Cameron walks to his mommy and gets down on one knee and grabs his mother hand and presents with a emerald cut ruby set on a platinum band with diamonds surround it.
"Mommy will you marry us?"
