Author: OneShotMarvel

Summary: A single object has the ability to change history. If you could change the events to come, would you?
Author's Note: This idea just randomly popped into my head and I decided to hurry up and jot it down. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope to hear your thoughts about it when you're finished with it ;)
Disclaimer: As it is, I do not own Torchwood. Sad isn't it?
Prologue
Torchwood had put them through so much.
Much too much.
It all span through years of living and chasing, all of which began with their individual recruitment. From Suzie becoming addicted to the Gauntlet and going on a killing spree, to the new recruitment of Gwen, a copper that endangered the world by releasing a sex crazed alien that fed off of sexual release, turning its partner into ash. From Ianto harboring Lisa, his half-converted cyberwoman girlfriend to Tosh's meeting with the alien Mary and nearly becoming obsessed with a mind reading object as well as the alien herself. To Suzie's return from the dead and nearly killing Gwen for her life energy, and Abadon being released into the world. To Owen's death and zombified revival, and Ianto and Jack's relationship flourishing. To Owen and Tosh's death with the return of Gray and the ever friendly John Hart, to Ianto's own death while attempting to save the world from the 456.
So much had happened because of Torchwood, because of events that led up to their recruitment. They had aged quicker than most, and have seen things that could never be seen by others.
As the images faded from her eyes Suzie Costello returned to the present day where less than a second had gone by. That single moment in time felt like years to her. How could it not? She lived the years to come, saw what could be, and what shouldn't be. Looking down to the object in her hand she felt her heart jump, and quickly tucked the object away in a safe, hidden place in the archives before scurrying back to her desk.
Just as she had seen, the alarms sounded and Jack came bounding down from his office, slipping on his prized coat. Holding back a smile Suzie swore to herself she would change the future she had seen.
"Hurry up Costello! We're gonna need all hands on deck for this one."
But the future would just have to wait until she returned.
