Incubus
Almost dawn.
Red Queen hung heavily from Shiro's back and Blue Rose seemed to weigh one side of her down, her legs felt heavy and threatened to buckle under her.
Almost dawn.
Demons were quieter during the day, it made setting down to sleep a lot easier. There was a dense cluster of trees in the park that no one went near; it made for a good resting place.
"Hey there, sweetheart," a smooth voice reached her ears and she paused. It was talking to her, right? "Where ya going?"
Shiro slowly turned her head to a figure stood in the doorway of a sleazy bar. "Me?"
"Yeah, I'm talking to you." He slicked his short hair back as he stepped closer and Shiro noticed how well he was dressed for such a slum; her blue eyes studied him for a moment longer and she snorted.
Incubus. They were weak demons - not worth her time. She turned her head back in front of her and took a step. A hand grabbed her roughly by the left wrist and she hit the brick wall of the bar, Red Queen digging into her back awkwardly as her hands were pinned above her.
"I asked where you were going." Deep brown eyes stared into her own and then shifted to the devil bringer. "Well…isn't this interesting?"
Tiredness forgotten and adrenaline pumping through her, Shiro narrowed her eyes. "You get one warning," she growled. "Let me go."
The Incubus ignored her and continued to study the bringer.
"Ok, buddy, you asked for it!" She threw her head forward and smacked him on the nose then rose her foot to shove him back; he rolled backwards across the street and slowly rose back to his feet.
"You're not human!"
Shiro sneered and the bringer glowed a dangerous red. "What was your first clue!?" She thrust the bringer out and grabbed the Incubus; she slammed him into the ground several times and then threw him over the roof of the bar, waiting to hear the 'thud' before relaxing.
The bringer settled and Shiro lowered it.
"Tsh, how do women end up falling for those things? They're disgusting." She sighed and continued to the park as the first streams of light broke through the sky.
