It was just an ordinary evening in the flat of the Marauders minus Peter. They had left Hogwarts the year before and James had recently considered moving in with the girl he had been dating for several years, Lily Evans. The two of them had been on a date all evening, leaving Sirius and Remus at home alone together.
"I'm bored, Moony," Sirius whined. "Can we play hide and seek?"
Remus rolled his eyes and shook his head a little, "I'm really not in the mood, Padfoot. I'm tired."
"Stop being such a girl, Moony. It's just a little hide and seek!" Sirius exclaimed, "If you don't agree to play, I'll make you!"
Remus sighed, standing up, "Fine. One game. That's it. You're such a child though, Pads, you know that?"
Sirius grinned and nodded, "Yup. Let's make it more adult, then! Let's play NAKED!"
Remus frowned a little, knowing he had several cuts from the previous night as it had been a full moon, "How about no?" he replied.
"Oh, come on Moony. It's nothing I haven't seen before, you know," Sirius replied, pulling his own robes off and standing in front of Remus with nothing but his boxers on.
"Fine. One game," he said, removing his own robes cautiously.
"I'll hide first!!" Sirius exclaimed, running off into the corridor as Remus removed his clothing. "Don't look where I hide!"
Remus sighed, counting to 50 as was accustomed and then going to find Sirius. He was pretty sure he knew where he would be. He always hid in the bath tub. Sure enough, there he was wrapped in the shower curtain. "Found you," Remus replied, looking rather bored.
"Cheat!" Sirius exclaimed, frowning. "You hide this time," he added, grinning.
"Okay," Remus said, heading off in the other direction. Soon enough, he was found as well and the two of them decided to sit on the sofa and watch TV for a while as there simply wasn't enough good hiding places left anymore.
"You cheat too often, Remus. I'm sure you like looking at my arse," Sirius commented, playfully poking Remus. "I think you're gay."
Remus looked at Sirius and laughed, "I think you're gayer," he replied.
"At least I've had girlfriends," Sirius replied and Remus smiled slightly.
"Maybe I am gay, Sirius...." Remus answered, blushing slightly.
"You are?" Sirius asked.
Remus simply nodded. He didn't really know what else to say but eventually managed, "I'm sorry. I should have said so before." Sirius shook his head and Remus moved as if to leave but Sirius grabbed him and kissed him instead. Remus looked at Sirius questioningly but the only answer he received was another kiss. He smiled, letting Sirius kiss him and kissing back himself now, beginning to let himself enjoy it more.
Neither of them heard the door open or James entering the room, "Hi... I'm sorry, I didn't realise..." he said.
Remus broke away from Sirius and shook his head, "Doesn't matter."
"I wouldn't have come in if I'd known," James continued, unsure of where to look.
"There's always room for one more...We could have used you an hour ago for naked hide and seek," Sirius replied, "He cheats. He always cheats."
James frowned a little, realizing he didn't even want to know what his friends got up to in their flat. He simply shook his head, turned around and left the flat again. They could do all they wanted while he wasn't there, he just wasn't going to hang around and watch.
