I don't own Harry Potter or any of the characters.

It was Sirius Black's luck that it was raining. It was summer break and Sirius had been home for a few hours before his mother locked him out of the house. Needless to say, Walburga Black was furious with her eldest son. He was a Gryffindor, a disgrace to the Black family. They took great pride in the fact that they all were Slytherins.

Sirius looked in the window. Regulus was now being spoiled to a point that it was disgusting. He had a huge bar of Honeyduke's finest chocolate. It was obvious that Sirius was the outcast. He wondered how long it would be until he was blown off the family tree.

It was getting past midnight before Mrs. Black would allow her son back into the house. She didn't want any of 'those nasty Muggles' seeing him outside. By that time, it had stopped raining and Sirius was soaked down to the bone. He wasn't that surprised when he started to sneeze.

It was the next morning that was a huge surprise. He could hear James Potter's, his best friend, voice coming from his trunk. On top of his belongings was a mirror. The next surprise was the fact that it wasn't his face that he saw.

"Ahhh!"

"Sirius, are you ok?" James asked.

"James? What is this?"

"It's a two way mirror. My dad got me them as an early birthday present. He must have known that I would have given one to you. We can talk to each other whenever we want. Think of all the mischief we will mange with these things."

"This is brilliant. How do they work?"

"You just have to say my name and I will hear you. I think it would be best if your Mother never finds out about these. My Dad would be furious if I lose the Mirrors."

"So, do you have any pranks planned for next term?"

"Sirius, it's the first day of vacation!"

"Well, do you?"

"Is my middle name Charlus?"

"I don't know. What does your middle name have to do with anything? You can be a wart at times."

"Yes, Sirius, I have a few things planned. You were there, remember?"

"My brain is a little waterlogged. Mother made me spend most of yesterday outside."

"Don't let her get you down. Besides, if things get too bad over at your place you can always stay over here. My mum likes you better than me; her one and only son."

"I'll call you up on that one. But I think I should stay at least part of the summer here. I don't want to be disowned too early or anything. I have to go now; mother wants me to come down so she can poison me with what Kreacher calls food. Leather for breakfast, yum."

"Bye brother."

"Bye."
