Angelique
Chapter 1: A New Collins to Be
Whether Josette liked it or not, Angelique was pregnant with Barnabas Collins' child and she was now destined to become his wife, forever intertwined and entitled to the fortune and legacy of the Collins' name.
Angelique was currently resting in Barnabas' bed with the crimson and gold drapes to the canopy drawn bed closed. Her beautiful shiny brown hair draped over her silk pillow as she moaned and tossed in her sleep. Her belly protruded under her lavender silk night down it would be four more months until the new Collins would be born and only a week until Barnabas would be wed to his former servant girl.
Barnabas entered the bed where Angelique lay and lifted her nightgown from under the covers to reveal her smooth, milky white belly. Barnabas ran his masculine and slightly hairy hands over her smooth belly. Stroking turned into kissing the smooth fleshy sack that was holding his offspring. He started from her waistline and arrived at her belly button when her beautiful bluish-green eye flew open.
Angelique's dark eyelashes blinked a bit while her eyes looked to Barnabas who was currently crouching over her and stroking her brown hair. The beauty was even more compelling when she was awake though she beckoned him like a siren when he was awake.
"My darling only seven more days and we will be forever joined." She said reaching up to his head to stroke his hair.
"Yes, my brown haired angel you will be lady of this house and our child will have the world at their whim."
Barnabas' hand went to her exposed stomach the moment he saw that the child kicked within his beloved.
"I hear that Josette is spreading ugly lies about me and my mother." Angelique started.
"What kind of lies do you mean my love?" he asked as he began to kiss her belly again.
"She says that my mother is a whore of Satan and that I only won your heart by witchcraft and harlotry." she continued indignantly.
"My dear do not concern yourself with Josette, I hear that she is to marry Nathaniel Keating, a Lord in Liverpool. She won't be around much longer to cause us any grief."
Angelique was somewhat appeased but still visibly troubled. She shifted slightly in the cotton sheets.
"What else is the matter my love?"
"Your two sisters, Yvonne and Simone; they still seem reserved towards me and the baby." She explained cupping her bump with her arm in a protective manner.
"They're just adjusting to the idea of having you as their sister in-law. Truthfully, you were our scullery maid months prior but that doesn't mean that you can't be anything else."
"But, when I marry you before God and men, I will be undoubtedly a Collins until death and my children your heirs?"
"Yes my muse, a Collins until even after death. Now shall we go to the dining room for breakfast?"
"We shall." she answered allowing herself to be picked up by Barnabas.
