It was that time of year. It was Christmas. The little boy sat in front of his tree, wishing with all his heart Santa Claus would come. He prepared cookies and milk, and even looked up Santa's lucky item for the day! Oha Asa said Cancer's was a rope, and Sagittarius's was a knife. He didn't know why his parents told him to put it away though. It was for Santa, and Santa would never hurt him. He was sure of it. Shintarou was startled from his thoughts when he heard a noise. He heard it coming from the chimney. Excitement bubbled in his chest and spread throughout his body. It was Santa!

Santa froze when he saw the little green haired boy staring at him with bright eyes. Then he was confused. What kind of boy would be holding a knife and a rope? Did those bandages on his left hand come from that knife?

"Santa!" Shintarou exclaimed quietly, as his parents were still sleeping. Santa looked different from all the stories he had read. He imagined a fluffy person with a red coat and funny hat, with a beard, white as snow. But he was sure it was still Santa! Who else would enter a house through a chimney? This Santa was clothed in all black with a ski mask, but like the stories, had a black bag behind him bulging with things. It looked suspiciously like a garbage bag, but maybe Santa was just running out of funds.

"Hey, kid. Help me load up this tv. Elves need cable in the North Pole." The little boy did as told, because he had to be nice to Santa or he'll give you coal. He even did something extra for Santa. Shintarou helped Santa load up all the electronics in his house. Since all the electronics didn't fit in the bag, which he saw was filled with many other things, like plants and money, he put them in the sled. Even the sled didn't look like the stories. It looked like an old Chevy.

Before Santa left, Shintarou made sure to give 'Santa' his cookies and milk, and his lucky item. Santa looked surprised and said lowly, "You're not bad, kid. Here's a gift." He threw it at him without a glance. Santa looked more interested in the knife than anything. As Santa drove away, the little boy looked at his gift with glee.

When morning came, his parents looked very furious. It didn't look like they had Christmas cheer. They were just jealous that he got to help Santa and they didn't. He even got a gift, meaning what he did was good. They were jealous of the magic snow he got. Maybe he wasn't supposed to show them, because Santa said to "Hide this from the evil blue ice elves."
