bella stood out side the main entrance to forks high school as the other kids are just arriving to start the day. friends meet up with friends, girls gossip on the latest news, busses arrive and are quickly emptied with kids in the typical morning madness style. a girl carelessly slides her car into a parallel parking spot crashing into the person in front of her. the girl who owns the now smashed car gets out quickly checking the damage.
other kids that heard the commotion quickly turn up to the scene. bella stunned looking from the distance as the devastation that had occurred.
another car pulls up along side her black 1970 pontiac gto with two broad, red stripes running over the hood. bella struggles to make out the guy that steps out from the passengers side of the car. she can t here what the guy is saying as the car is making lots of noise, accompanied by some music. all she can see is him smile and head towards the trunk of the car, as the group then disperses. a he pop open the trunk and take out a back pack, and makes his way towards the entrance. as a nerdy photographer for the school paper takes one last picture, as he walks away from the scene.
the drive in the black pontiac speeds out of the school parking lot, vanishing quickly around the corner leaving a long trail of dust.
he continued to walks towards the main entrance of the school trying to avoid the eyes that stared upon him. without realizing it he bumps into bella, as she stands there as if in another world. he quickly makes sure she's okay but without listening bella blurts out.

across the car park, bella can see all the on lookers gathered by the car, as they talk to the girl involved in the accident.

she over hears the nerdy report as she walks past well, i can't right now. i just found a new headline for the school paper. this is going to be big

they cross through the courtyard, where bella can see the jocks have ganged up on casey and ram him into the flagpole, legs open. his attention shifts for a moment as his eyes follow a blond girl in a flowered dress named katie as she walks cautiously toward the main building.
bella quickly notices today is her first day of school. she just moved into herrington, ohio from atlanta. where bout s are you from?
she approaches two of them as they were standing by main entrance of the school.
excuse me? could you please tell me where the office is? it's my first day here. as katie she asks shyly.
he completely ignores her and doesn't say anything for a moment but finally points his thumb toward bella.
