Little Bit Of Sunshine In The Rain
Dennis Savage was laying on the ground; he could hear footsteps and a small scream. The rain was coming down quickly. The only light he could see was coming from behind him; a flash of light coming from either side. His eyes were closing; he felt a hand on his. He couldn't make out who it was. His eyes opened again; he looked to his side to find his deceased wife Leanne Holiday there.
"I came as soon as I heard; everything will be okay" Leanne told him; kissing his hand; he felt content.
Though reality hit him soon after. He doesn't understand what is going on here; he tries to get up though his body is seemingly paralyzed. He tries to speak however nothing comes out; his voice was lost. He looked up at the stars before looking back at Leanne; she kisses his lips soon after.
"You just got to hang in there" Leanne spoke gently to him; still holding tightly onto his hand.
He can't seem to remember where he was last and how he ended up here. In this place; he gave a small smile as he stroked Leanne's warm and smooth hand with his own. Though even that was too much for him to cope with.
"Try and relax; it's not your time" Leanne insisted; her blonde hair brushed against her neck.
She seemed so perfect to him in this moment; though she always was to him. She was the only thing he got right. Deep down; he knows that nobody else would come close. Nobody at all. He found a little bit of his voice.
"I still love you" Dennis managed to speak with a tear falling down; he half-expected her to disappear.
Though she stayed a little bit longer. He noticed that the rain stopped; making him relax more. He was no longer in pain; he felt nothing. Just merriment with a hint of inquisitiveness as his head rested against Leanne.
"We had our time" Leanne replied softly; making another tear fall down his cheek, he felt empty inside.
Another light came down from the twilight sky. The air felt warmer then before as he felt the heat on his body.
"You will find me again; when is it your time; you still got a life to live; your time is not up" Leanne informed him; she kissed the top of his head.
He grabbed onto his hand; that got a reaction from him. He found a little bit more of his voice because of this.
"I'm always a positive person but I deserve some happiness; don't let me go" Dennis cried; he wanted to be with her.
"I'm only letting you go for a bit" Leanne responds with a small quaint smile.
They kissed each other on the lips; which lasted a few more moments. As everything around them was fading away. With darkness being the only thing that surrounds them; more images started to appear.
"Leanne" Dennis spoke as he felt her pull away; he watched her evanesce out of his poor eye-sight.
He opened his eyes to find himself in a hospital room; he was saved. He placed his glasses on; everything came into focus. He breathed; leaning back against his bed. When the door opened with a nurse.
"I saw the light" Dennis told her; he still felt surreal.
The nurse gave a small smile; her eyes went inviting. As she walked over; placing a glass of water by his bedside. Before saying.
"Not the first time I heard that"
He gave a small laugh; leaning back again in defeat. He looked through the small window of the door. He could see a shadow; he could swear that he witnessed it giving him a wave before fading away.
