I don't know what happened to Jean as a child so I made some stuff up. Yeah, so read and tell me what you think. I might have some more fem slash later. It's kinda like "Horrible Holidays" except it's not on Valentine's Day.

I do not own any X-Men. Although that would make my day!

"Uh, Professor? I was wondering if you could help me with something. As you know, Tabitha has been moved into my room. I know that it had to be done eventually, I mean, nobody in the mansion gets to have there own room anymore because of the construction being done on the dorms. It's just that, well, Tabitha is very, uh, spirited, and I just don't think that I'll be able to study as well if I have to be in the same room as her night and day. I was wondering, I mean, if you can, could you possibly find me another roommate? Maybe one who is quieter and can respect other people's space a little better than Tabitha can?"

Hope filled Jean's face as she waited for the professor's reply. Little did she know, he had been expecting her to come in and ask for this. He knew all to well that she did indeed need to study in a quiet, secure space. She also needed someone to trust.

"Very well Jean. I shall try my best to find another roommate for you."

"Oh thank you Professor! I'm really sorry that it didn't work out with me and Tabby but, well, I just can't stand her." Jean turned to leave but stopped as the Professor spoke softly to her.

"Jean, you and I both know that you could have handled Tabitha. It wasn't that she was noisy, was it? You are afraid again, Jean."

"I'm not afrai-"

"I can tell even without reading your mind. You're having those dreams again and you were afraid of Tabitha finding out what you're afraid of. You know I am always here to help you if you need me."

While he had been talking Jean had frozen. She was gazing into space as she remembered what had happened last night. How she had woken up screaming only to find Tabitha trying to calm her down. Jean had been questioned by her roommate and she had been told that everything was ok and that it was just a dream. Jean knew the truth though. She knew it was no dream. Realizing that the Professor was going to ask her to maybe try and explain what was wrong she lightly shook her head and smiled as if she had no idea what could possible be wrong.

"Really Professor, I'm fine! You know me. I would never tell you I was fine unless it was true. Now if you'll excuse me I have a class to attend to."

"Well, if you're sure you don't need help-"

"I'm sure."

"Alright, just be back to the mansion before five. We're having a little birthday party for Kurt."

"Ok, I'll be there. See you at five!"

Reaching for the doorknob, Jean stumbled backwards as Kitty ran through the door and fell on top of Jean.

"Whoa! Sorry Jean! I didn't mean to run into you I just like, totally need to see the Professor."
