I try not to speak ill of the dead.
It's rude. They can't defend themselves.
But as the words in front of me burn into my brain in brutal black and white, I can't help it.

I loved Kate once, but all I feel now is rage.
She didn't tell me. I never knew.
And so I missed it.
I missed it all.
My son's childhood was stolen from me.
