Pain explodes in my chest.
My momentum is stopped dead in its tracks.
I can't move, and I'm grateful in some sort of twisted way.
My immobility is preventing me from doing something more than a bit unprofessional, like screaming, begging, pleading, or otherwise trying to convince our captors to let Carter go.
They take her, and I'm powerless to stop them. One pain recedes, but another takes its place.
I only wish it was from the actions of the deranged Jedi over there.
But he doesn't need to use his powers to shatter my heart.
Taking her was enough.
