My Heart

Summary: Dr. Cox is dying. Slash.

"My heart is in that hospital bed, minutes away from death. He's lived a good, long, fulfilling life, but it's finally caught up with him. I can't believe it. I don't know what to say to him. I wished it was me, instaed of him. Or me and him. I can't live without him. I can't work without him." JD thought

I slowly make my way into his room, and sit beside the bed, grabbing his hand. The same position I've
been in for the last week.

"Hey, where'd you go?" Dr. Cox asked

"To get something to eat, but I'm here now." JD answered

"I love you." Dr. Cox whispered

"I love you too." JD whispered with tears in his eyes

"Don't cry for me, I'm not worht it." Dr. Cox said wiping his face

"Your worth everything. I love you, and you'll always be in my dreams." JD stated kissing him softly

"Save all your dreams, and keep me in your heart." Dr. Cox whispered in his ear, kissing him one last time on the ear before passing away

"Perry." JD cried

"Perry, please." JD cried

"I'll keep you in my heart." JD whispered in his ear before leaving the room

"Bambi, what's the matter?" Carla aksed worriedly when she saw JD come out of the room sobbing

"He's." JD sobbed

"Bambi, what's going on?" Carla aksed rushing over to him

"He's gone." JD whispered

"Bambi, I'm so sorry." Carla siad

"You need to get somebody in there." JD said walking away

JD woke up crying the next morning. He woke up, and started looking for Perry, who wasn't in bed.

"Perry! Perry!" JD yelled running through the apartment

"I'm here JD. What's the matter?" Perry asked gathering him into his arms, and hugging him

"I had a bad dream." JD sobbed

"JD, it's okay, it was just a dream." Perry said stroking his hair

JD quietly sobbed. After letting him calm down a little Perry grabbed his chin, and made him look at him.

"JD, what was the dream about?" Perry asked softly

"You died." JD cried

"JD, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." Perry sadi kissing him softly

"I know. I'm never watching Grease 2 again." JD stated

"What?" Perry asked

"You used a line of one of the songs. You told me to save my dreams, and keep you in my heart." JD answered

"That's what I would want you to do." Perry stated kissing him softly

"Me too." JD said making the kiss deeper, and leading him to the room
