Used to Be
They'd been best friends once, sharing secrets, gossiping and private thoughts. It was a friendship that was stronger than any relationship – more important than one, too.
It was a promise they had made one another.
And then as they'd grown older and become more interested in other things, they had slowly drifted apart. During the war, Lavender was sneaking off into locked rooms, sharing kisses with Seamus. Parvati was left to her own devices; to worry, to help, to sacrifice.
It wasn't that she hated her friend for being with Seamus; she just missed the way things used to be.
Minus title and author notes and that, Word tells me it was 100 words exactly. Go me!
