A/N So I got bored and was reading a helluva lot of LaLu so I figured… why not write this? I don't own Fairy Tail. It isn't really like pairing Lalu more BROTP but oh well.
"Guys it's the last day of high school for us!" Mira wailed as she flung herself into Lucy's arms. The blonde looked down at the new weight with a panicked look in her eyes but decided to hug the poor classmate.
"Don't worry Mira. You will have a great time in college even if we aren't there." Lucy assured gently. Lowering herself and Mira onto the bench, Lucy rubbed the girl's back.
"Yeah you will have a lot of fun next year!" Levy chimed in cheerfully from her place next to the pair.
"What about our friendship? We won't be able to walk together." Mira brought out a fresh set of tears.
"Not this again." Laxus grumbled as he came up to the three girls. Behind him was the faithful "Thunder Tribe" as they'd nickname themselves. No one really knew why they decided that as their name or why Laxus had three dedicated followers but no one ever questioned it. It was all types of weird and no one really wanted answers.
"Laxus be more considerate!" Lucy snapped before covering Mira's ears. "She is so close to shutting up and I don't need her to start crying because you aren't showing 'enough commitment to this friendship.' Sit there and nod sympathetically so we can all leave." She ordered and relinquished her hold on Mira's ears, playing it off like she was patting her head.
"Did you say something Laxus?" Mira sniffled as she rose. From the pointed glare Lucy was giving him and the pleading look of Levy they had been doing this all day.
"Nothing at all." Laxus grumbled.
"Mira I heard there is a sale at the mall." Evergreen commented off handedly and Mira was smiling again. The white haired senior dragged the Thunder Tribe off down the street and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you Evergreen. Now I better go find Gajeel. He hasn't signed my yearbook." Levy excused herself.
"Sure." Lucy drawled. "You sure he's not gonna do a little more than that?" Lucy called out with a wink after the blushing bluenette. Even Laxus chuckled with that as he sat down next to Lucy.
"I really need to thank the Thunder God Tribe. I love Mira but…" Lucy trailed off.
"She can be a big pain in the ass?" Laxus finished with a smirk.
"Yeah." Lucy agreed, her cheeks now dusted in pink from the piercing blue gaze Laxus shot her way.
"I hear we're going to the same college. Gonna be nice to have Blondie on the scene." Laxus said before standing up. A heavy hand was placed on Lucy's head and it ruffled her blonde hair.
"Don't mess up my hair Spark Plug!" Lucy yelled furiously at her retreating friend.
"Whatever. See you in college kid."
"We're the same age goddammit! How many times do I have to tell you?!"
