This takes place during Endgame. Right after Janeway is told by the Admiral about Seven and
Chakotay's future marriage.
"How could I have let this happen...?"
That's simple, Kathryn. During all these years of talking you've never said the right words to
him..
Words of encouragement.. words of endearment...words of...love.
No one can go for this long without the right words to hold on to.
Is that what she's given him? The right words?
Maybe it's not too late.. I can still tell him... say all those words I should have said...
"Janeway to Chakotay"
"Chakotay here, Captain, what can I do for you?"
"Please meet me in my quarters."
I need to have some words with you....
