KIDNAPED

A prisoner of my mind
Chapter one:
Dead or gone, which one's worst?
"INUYASHA!" The corpse shook violently, spasming and trembling. His blood glimmered in the soft light of the dungeon, streams of blood trickling out of open cut and sores. Gentle moans hoarsely echoing out now and again. He was dying. "No!" She yelled, violently shaking him by his shoulders. "He's not going to awake just because your shaking him." His voice rang though her ears. He was right. "I know . . . " The words stumbled out of her mouth, exiting in a soft whisper.
"NO NEED TO MOURN OVER HIM!" Her eyes dashed toward the ceiling. Naraku hung there, suspended in mid air. Demonic hands torn into Inuyasha, clung to his claws by shreds and clumps of muscles and flesh. Briskly the two floated to the surface, then disappeared into the well.
Salty tears streamed down her face, wolf arms embraced her, a compassionate breath tickling the nape of her neck. "I could have stopped him . . . " Guilt fed upon her soul. If she'd just been a little fast, if only . . . "Stop beating yourself up." He demanded her, his arms bracing her tighter. "But if I'd only been a little . . . "
"No." He interrupted. "If WE could have done anything about it, we would have." Words did nothing to rid herself of the quilt. This was her fault. "You should really have been blaming me." He said sorrowfully. "I should have stopped him." She felt his heart jump. "If your trying to make me feel better . . . it's not working." Blood flowed out of her mouth. She hadn't noticed. "Besides . . . your legs are in no condition." She murmured under her breath. "They always told me that those Jewel Shards would be the death of me."
"I guess they are gonna be." Tender fingers brushed against the gashes upon his shins, blood staining her finger tips. "Na, you won't die of that." The mere thought of proving him wrong brought up her spirts. "Really?" He chuckled. "Then we better get out of here."
High spirits dimmed as their eyes fell upon the corpses of their fallen comrades. "Sango, Miroku, shippo... their all dead."
