Don't own DP or Grown Up Christmas List. And be warned it is my first holiday fic, i just felt i needed to do it because this is my favorite Christmas song that really teaches me more than any of those common songs do.

Danny looked in sadness at his surroundings. He was twenty one and still only three people knew his secret. But know he regretted it. Around him Amity was slowly being devoured by a ghost human war, it was Christmas but the truce was long broken. Danny slowly bent down and picked up an ornament long forgotten of a Santa.

Do you remember me?
I sat upon your knee;
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies.

Danny slowly walked into town, singing loudly for all to hear, he wanted the war to end, for every one to be together for Christmas.

Well, I'm all grown-up now,
And still need help somehow.
I'm not a child,
But my heart still can dream.

He reached the center of town and slowly people came out to see him. Most were surprised, they had thought Danny Phantom hated their town, and Christmas, but in truth it had become his favorite holiday, because of the love.

So here's my lifelong wish,
My grown-up Christmas list.
Not for myself,
But for a world in need.

Danny Phantom sat down, still singing loudly in a voice that echoed through the slowly building streets. Even the ghosts dropped what they were doing to come see.

No more lives torn apart,
That wars would never start,
And time would heal all hearts.
And everyone would have a friend,
And right would always win,
And love would never end.
This is my grown-up Christmas list.

Many of the on watchers felt tears sting at their eyes just as surely as they poured down the eyes of Danny Phantom, he just wanted the war to end.

As children we believed
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely
Wrapped beneath our tree.

Well heaven surely knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal
A hurting human soul.

Danny saw his family and friends, they hadn't talked in ages. Sam had left him to help in the human war but in truth, Danny had never chosen a side, he was both a human and a ghost, either way he would be fighting his own people.

No more lives torn apart,
That wars would never start,
And time would heal all hearts.
And everyone would have a friend,
And right would always win,
And love would never end.
This is my grown-up Christmas list.

All of the ghosts and towns people were there now, tears pouring from all directions, dancing on the wind

What is this illusion called the innocence of youth?
Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth.

Danny thought back to the younger days, he used to hate Christmas with all his might but now, he knew it was a time of love and peace, not the war he has always experienced, so many lives were destroyed, but that isn't how it should be.

No more lives torn apart,
That wars would never start,
And time would heal all hearts.
And everyone would have a friend,
And right would always win,
And love would never end, oh.
This is my grown-up Christmas list.

All of the ghosts and humans had now all dropped their weapons and were crying together, not caring if they were enemies, it was Christmas!

oh this is my only Christmas wish .
This is my grown-up Christmas list.

Danny finished singing and allowed the rings to wash over him, revealing Danny Fenton. Everyone stood in quiet awe, still sad after that song. Suddenly Sam walked out of the group and gave Danny a small hug. It was Christmas, and everyone felt good about it…
