The day had begun like any other day; the squints woke up and got ready for work.

But something seemed a bit strange.

It was almost noon and an awful lot of employees still hadn't arrived.

"Do any of you know where Dr. Saroyan is? She asked me to deliver these papers today but I can't find her anywhere?" Wendell peaked inside Angela's office to find her crying on the couch with Brennan next to her.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Hodgie left me!" she cried.

"What?!"

"I saw him load the car with a suitcase and drive away at 5 A.M!"

Before she could mope anymore Brennan noticed a beep coming from the computer.

"I think you have a video call." she said.

"Really?! I knew he still loved me! I'm going to turn on the gigantic monitor so you can all see it!" with a few clicks a video window appeared.

"Happy August 13th bitches!" In the screen, Hodgins, Cam, Doris the lunch lady and several employees on the background were at a beach each with a martini at hand.

"Hodgins where are you?" Angela was pissed.

"Chill Angie, it's International Left-hander's Day! So Cam and I took the Liberty to fly every left-handed employee from the Jeffersonian to one of my private islands for a three day vacation."

"Cam, I must say that's extremely counterproductive not to mention the work ethic by discriminating employees by their handedness." Brennan scolded.

"Dr. Brennan; everyday lefties like me, Hodgins and Doris here, put up with your subconscious discrimination like: a left-to-write alphabet, peelers, computer mice, knives, pencil-sharpeners, most cars, microscopes, cartridge pens, boomerangs, electric saws, pencils, spiral notebooks, those obnoxious desks with the writing surface attached to the right side conveniently made for mass consumption like yourself, the pants zipper, buttons not to mention the all time favourite: scissors. How's that for productivity and work ethic?"

Brennan kept her mouth shut.

"You discriminate us every day with a backwards world, and we still do everything you can do as well if not better, I think that by taking three days off the year to celebrate our adaptability and dominant right side of the brain by getting drunk at and beach with access to golf court and swimming pool, the world will still survive." Cam remarked.

"And you couldn't have taken your wife with you to your little celebration?" Angela asked.

"No hurt feelings babe, but you're not one of us. You can sympathize but you can't fully understand. We're a minority, and one everybody seems to forget." Hodgins finished his fourth martini.

"Enjoy work suckers! We southpaw's are going hang-gliding!" Doris the lunch lady gave them the finger and the screen turned pitch black.

"Now I have no one to blow up stuff with." Wendell mopped.

Being left-handed I thought I could write this one-shot celebrating being on the same boat as Obama, Marilyn, Oprah, Napoleon, Da Vinci, Angelina Jolie and my heroine Marie Curie.

If you're left-handed this was for you, and if not at least you now have a better understanding of what it's like to be in the skin of one.

So if you liked it or hated it please review. Pwease! *puppy dogs eyes*
