"Kat?" Talon tapped her shoulder to see if she was conscious. The room was muggy and cold, as if she were crying.

"Yeah?" Katarina didn't look back at him.

"Are you okay? Were you awake?" He was anxious as he lightly turned her over to face him.

"I-I'm fine. I just can't sleep," she said uneasy. Her nose and the whites of her eyes were stained red, as they fought for comfort.

"Since you can't sleep, you wanna talk?"

She simply nodded, and glared elsewhere, saying,

"I know you've never seen me like this, but I'll get back to normal if you help me. I guess that's what you've been doing, right?" Her voice was a bit monotone, trying to cover the embarrassment in her voice. Katarina was always known for being the bold and strong type, and the favorite daughter of the dark city's general. Now, she was pale, frail, and was too weak and heartbroken to do anything about her father's disappearance.

"I have no idea what I've been doing, but the stars are shining bright tonight." Katarina smiled daintily, expressing her thanks to the only understanding man remaining.

"Hey, how about we get some fresh air? Maybe it'll make you feel better. It's a lovely view tonight, Katarina," he noted, holding out a helping hand.
