House looked at his cane as it spun between his hands. He had been here for fourteen hours. He wanted to be with his wife in the delivery room. He wanted to hold her hand. But she didn't want him scaring the nurses. So here he sat while Allison gave birth to their baby. He wanted to know what was taking so long. He wanted to be with her, but he promised to stay right here. Greg looked up as he head the click of heels and forced a smile at Cuddy.
"She did great" Cuddy said
"Can I see them?" Greg asked
"Yea. They are moving Alison to a private room now and the baby is in the nursery"
"But their ok?"
"The labor was hard on Ally and she is exhausted but they are both ok"
Greg smiled and went to find Allison. He smiled as he walked into her room and noticed her sleeping. He moved next to the bed and softly kissed her forehead before sitting down. A nurse walked in with his daughter and House smiled as he gently took the baby and smiled at her face.
"Greg?" Cameron asked softly
"Hey. I was just getting to know our daughter" House replied "She's beautiful. Just like her mother"
"I'm sorry I made you stay away"
"It's fine"
Cameron smiled as she took the baby and started to nurse her. House gently climbed on the bed next to her and ran his finger gently over the baby's cheek.
"Does she have a name yet?" Greg asked
"How about Lilly Cameron House?" Allison suggested
"Happy birthday Lilly. And before I forget, a day or two late as it may be, happy mothers day Alison"
"I love you"
"Love you too"
