A/N: It's has been a long time since I last wrote anything. Give my review button a hug.

Everytime he watches her walk away, he gets the stupid feeling in his stomach and senses some strange sort of beating in his chest. (He's never had a heart – he doesn't deserve to) and gets the slightest bit of spinning in his mind. Confusion fills his head and his eyes become dazes and everything is obitting her, everything.

(First secret: he loves this feeling.)

She's talking and talking and talking about the complicated problems of her jobs and how she loves her job and doesn't want to change despite her boss is not so pleased with her, and god, he is going to kill himself (by losing in a duel with Crow, perhaps.) if he has listen to one more time about what information she has gathered recently.

"Must you talk every single second, Carly?" He growls suddenly, interrupting her speech, and the claws at the empty space that she has abruptly pulled away from her previous spot laying across his chest.

Carly pouts, her hands on her hips. "Well, if I didn't fill up the silence you insist on providing, then all the play we use to prevent Martha's scowling you to get a girlfriend will be back at your face again. And that is what you want, I will leave with the news of our breaking up and…"

He sits there, mouth hangs open (but he closes it quickly, Jack doesn't let his mouth open.) "By all means, ramble freely." He says finally, void of emotion on his face. But inside everything is racing at the thought of losing her. And the flash of Carly, fading away before his eyes, comes back and the feeling is too much too bear.

(Second secret: he loves her voice.)

"Finally, Yusei and Aki are engaged!" She jumps up and down. "It's so sweet. They're finally together now!"

"Don't you have anything else to do." Jack says, indifferently. "Yusei is so over the moon with that girl. He just likes to deny."

"Like to deny? Isn't that what girls do?" Carly frowns and curls up to him, putting her head against his shoulder. "Still, it's romantic. They're in love."

He glances at the top of her head: "Love is a myth."

"Oh, please." The girls grumbles, kicking his legs and pays no mind to his annoyed expression. "Signers are supposed to be myth, too. Believe in love yet, Jack?"

"No." His voice is so determined that Jack has to surprise at himself.

She brushes her lips against his neck, reaching his jaw: "Now?"

"Resolve crumbling."

Carefully, she places butterfly kisses on his cheeks and stop one centimeter before reaching his lips: "Are you capable of love now?"

"Rethinking it." He murmurs and leans in to meet her halfway.

(Third secret: he loves – likes – to think that they're engaged someday.)

It's late at night, winter and she is spinning around on the brigde, her hairs like a curtain of onyx.

"This is amazing." She says, looks like imposibility with her arms wide open like wings.

"It's cold." He reasons, but steps closer to her. "You'll catch your death out there, woman." He tries to sound warning. She ignores him, turning to face the sea below.

As soon as he is a foot behind her she falls, his arms instinctively coming out to catch her, and for a second fears take over, but it surrenders its hold as she clings to him as he wraps her legs around his waist. "I know you will not let me die." She whispers. "I love you."

For instant, he's thought that she remembers (Fight. Signer. Dark Signer. She disappears.)

"Someday." He says. "I promise you."

(Fourth secret: His love for her never changes.)

END.
