My Heart Flutters for You

Disclaimer: I do not own either of the canon characters. Tadashi belongs to Disney, and MK belongs to Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios. Based on the drabble prompt: "I've liked you for awhile now."

With sweating palms, MK enters her laboratory space, her heart pounding rapidly in her chest.

"Breathe, MK," she whispers to herself as calmly as possible. "You've rehearsed this for days now," the redhead reminds herself.

Catching sight of a familiar mop of black hair, MK purposefully heads in his direction. Doing her best to remain calm, the young lady taps her best friend on the shoulder playfully.

"Hey, MK!" Tadashi happily greets her with a wide grin crossing his lips. "I was just looking for you!" he admits, moving closer to MK.

"You were?"

"Yeah. You said you needed help with the software for your project, remember?"

Oh, right. She had said that yesterday. Well, that certainly throws a wrench in her plans. All that planning would be wasted.

"How about after that we grab some lunch together?" MK suggests, hoping her voice isn't terribly shaky.

"Like a date?" Tadashi inquires, an unreadable expression on his face.

"If you want it to be," the redhead sheepishly replies, her face flushing crimson.

"Do you want it to be?" Tadashi challenges.

"I've liked you for awhile now," MK admits.

"Then a date it shall be!" he grins, squeezing MK's hand in affection.

Author's Note: And there it is! This is my first Big Hero Six and my first Epic story. I actually got the idea for this couple while watching a crossover video on YouTube, and when I re-watched both the movies, I could totally see Tadashi and MK becoming a couple together, especially if the place where Mary Katharine first lived was close to Tadashi and Hiro. Anyway, to keep this from getting too long, MK and Tadashi have become one of my favorite crossover couples, and I fully intend to write for them again sometime soon! As always, all reviews are greatly appreciated. I hope everyone enjoyed! Until next time, my dear readers; I hope you have an amazing day, afternoon, or night!
