(The Mystery Shack, Living Room)
Having been called by the owner of the infamous Gravity Falls tourist trap known as "The Mystery Shack", Dipper reunited with Stan, who looked down at him with a serious look and his arms crossed. Dipper is worried at first, believing that the old man could be mad at him for whatever reason, but what happened next implied that was not the case.
"I want to give you something." expressed Stan as he reached for his back.
Dipper raised an eyebrow in confusion, but he remained silent instead of asking the old man what he wanted to give him. Stan took out a fez and handed it to Dipper, who was left mostly speechless.
"I also gave one to your sister, just so that neither of you would fight over the fez." informed Stan to his nephew, who smiled in response. "But I made sure this fez I give you got an important detail right."
Dipper changed his pine tree hat with the fez, and he walked to the nearest mirror and looked at himself. While he believed that he looked like a younger Stan, this didn't necessarily bother him, and once he finished he walked back to Stan.
"One day, you'll become a good and respected man, Dipper." stated Stan, who crouched and put his hand on Dipper's shoulder before he continued, "Don't let my or Mabel's mocking, nor the other people's opinion of you, make you think otherwise."
Dipper shed a few tears after he heard that, and he smiled and nodded in response almost immediately. Stan gave Dipper a happy look and he scratched his head before the boy reached for his back, taking out a pine tree hat identical to his own.
He then gave the hat to Stan, who looked to the boy with shock and curiosity. "I give you this hat for being an awesome great uncle." said Dipper, who gave the man a thumbs up.
Stan took off his fez and he put on the pine tree hat. He then turned to the nearest mirror and saw his reflection, one reflection that looked quite handsome in the old man's vision. He then turned back to Dipper, who was still giving him a thumbs up, but this time with a smile in the mix.
The old man and boy exchanged looks before Stan smiled back, and he soon returned the thumbs up, with the duo laughing before they engaged in a family hug.
