Part 4

Walker saves the day

Walker, in the meantime had gotten to the 2nd floor and was checking all the rooms when he found Syd. She had no idea that he had came into the room. "Syd. Are you okay?" Walker asked as he got her untied and the tape removed from her mouth. "I'm fine Walker. I think Gage is in the next room." Syd said as the two slowly and carefully made their way out of the room.

Syd checked the room next to hers and found Gage still unconscious. She quickly went in and started to untie him. Walker carefully removed the tape from his mouth. "Gage? Can you hear me?" Syd asked as she gently slapped at his face. He started groaning as he came to. He opened his eyes and found both Syd and Walker standing there. "What happened? Oh........my aching head." Gage said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Come on, let's find Trivette and get out of here." Walker said as the three left the room and carefully went back downstairs. "I suggest we stay together. You know the old saying, 'safety in numbers'." Gage said as Walker nodded his head. "Good idea. Come on, let's check down this way." Walker said as he motioned with his hand. Syd stayed between the two as they checked all the rooms to figure out where Trivette was.

Meanwhile, Trivette knew he was in a bad situation. He could hear the two people talking. "I say we blow this place skyhigh. That way there's no witnesses or evidence." One of them said. "Uh uh, too risky." The other one replied. Just then, Trivette had a sense that something was about to happen. He started rocking the chair back and forth and felt it tip over and crash to the floor. He felt his right shoulder shatter as he landed on it.

Suddenly, the door flew open and in came Walker, Gage and Syd. The two people started to reach for their guns when Walker made a flying leap, striking one in the chest and sent them flying across the room. The other one drew a knife from their pocket and nearly dared Syd and Gage to come closer. It didn't take long for both Syd and Gage to subdue the person.

Walker quickly went over to his fallen friend and untied the ropes. "Are you okay Trivette?" Walker asked as he helped Trivette to his feet. Trivette shook his head as he held his right shoulder. "I think I busted something when I landed." Trivette groaned as he held his right shoulder. "Come on, we got to get you to the hospital." Walker said as the four left the room, unaware that the two people had placed a bomb in the house and it was set to go off.

The two had just got out of the house and down to their cars when a loud explosion was heard. They ducked behind their cars as debris scattered all over. They raised their heads up and looked at what was left of the house. "Well, I guess those two guys won't be up on any charges." Gage replied as him and Syd got back into their car.

Several days later, everyone was over at C.D.'s place filling him in on what had happened. "I wish you could have seen the look on Trivette's face when I told him we were going over there." Walker said with a grin, glancing over at Trivette. "I wasn't scared Walker." Trivette replied. Alex sat there grinning. "Oh come on now Jimmy. We could tell by the expression on your face." Alex replied with a grin. "From now on, I'm not going to play anymore practical jokes on anybody. That's final." Walker said as he leaned back in his chair and placed his hat over his face.

The End!!
