Numb
She didn't know what to feel anymore. All she knew was at this point in her life she was being completely controlled, molded into something she wasn't and would never be. It killed her inside, she didn't want this, she never did. Everyone wanted her to change, and they were making her. She was forced everyday to be what they wanted her to be. She'd never be able to live her life. They changed her, yet no matter how hard she tried, they were always disappointed in her. She didn't even know how it happened. All she remembers is coming back to Anubis House after a boring day of classes at her boarding school she had been at since she was 11, then getting a phone call from her parents. They were removing her from the school and taking her back home. After devastating goodbyes, especially from those who were closest to her, the rest of Sibuna, Eddie, and Joy, she headed off home. It was a long, tiring journey that had wrenched her heart. She had always hated her family, perfect little Piper, and mum and dad always caring for her more. They never even thought to pay attention to her. But all of a sudden they think they can tear her way from everything she wants, needs, and loves. She never thought they'd be that cruel. She was only 16. When she reached her so called home, her parents greeted her with fake smiles, and feigned entusiasm. They explained how Piper had excelled so high in her life, and now that it was time she did too. And then they changed her. They ruined her inside and out, and never realized it. They never thought to think about her, and how she felt, all they wanted was a picture perfect family.
'Well, guess what? No more. I've had enough. They won't have thier perfect family, they don't even deserve it the slightest bit. No goodbyes. Tonight,' she decided. 'Tonight, I run. I run away from this stupid life. I want to be who I am. Everything they wanted me to be is falling apart now.'
That was it. It was back to happiness soon. It would be hard, but she was tired of being what they wanted her to be. Finally she could leave this hell hole she had to call home. It would be a long and hard path, but she knew it would be worth it. There was a 99% chance she would regret running off into nothingness, but there was always that other 1% that she lived for. And now she'd take it. 'Well, it's gonna be a long journey to happiness.' Because she didn't know what to feel. Because she was numb.
