Chapter One: A Wild Crossover Appears!
A bright flash erupted from the television, and suddenly, there stood Yugi Muto, Jaden Yuki, Yusei Fudo, Yuma Tsukumo, and Sakaki Yuya; the 5 protagonists of the various Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. "Whoa, what a trip… Huh? Yugi? Yusei? Long time no see, it's been a while since we defeated that Paradox creep! Guess the universe needs us to help these two save reality or something… who are you, anyway?" Jaden remarked in his usual over-the-top manner, greeting the others.
"Uh, the name's Yuma Tsukumo. I thought I'd saved the entire universe when I defeated Don Thousand."
"I'm Sakaki Yuya, son of Sakaki Yusho and pioneer of Pendulum Summoning. Last I checked, I was still in a Battle Royal covering all of Maiami City. Where are we anyway?"
"You're in our house." An annoyed feminine voice shouted, flinging a frying pan directly into Yuma's face. "And you're interrupting our dinner!"
"Easy sis… this is a glorious opportunity, go get the video camera… with the exception of Yusei, these five are all complete jokes, and I'm going to completely embarrass them all for all of YouTube!" A male voice claimed from the other side of the table at which the house's owners were seated. "I'll even do all five at once. Then they can all go make shit up on the fly and save the world from the Light of Destruction, Shadow Realm, ZONE, Number 96: Dark Mist, and Akaba Leo's ungodly team-up… or whatever it is that summoned them here."
Yuma, outraged at being called the joke he is, fumed and immediately engaged his D-Pad's Duel Mode. "Hey, I was a god for several minutes on multiple occasions! Get set to get Decked!"
"Yeah, and even then you couldn't do better than rip off Son Goku." The man stood, a classic style Duel Disk strapped to his wrist. "Let's do this." He slotted in his unusually thick Deck and drew five cards. "I'll go first. I Set a monster in defense position and activate the Continuous Spell, Heart of the Underdog. This card allows me to reveal a Normal Monster I draw during my turn's Draw Phase in order to draw an additional card." I set one other card in my back row and end my turn."
"Battle Royale Mode: Joining!" Yuya's Duel Disk proclaimed as he joined in. "I'll show you who's a joke around here, with my Entertainment Dueling."
"Be that as it may, it's Yuma's turn." Yusei informed Yuya, having taken longer to get his Disk ready because he needed to change from his Turbo Duel Deck to his Standing Duel Deck. "Let's see what he's got."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence, Yusei." Yuma acknowledged while drawing his card. "Before this is over, I'll make sure he feels the true power of my Kattobingu! I summon Goblindbergh (L4) and activate his monster effect! By turning him to Defense position, I can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower monster in my hand. But first I'll chain my Kagetokage (L4), which Special Summons itself to the field. With Goblindbergh's effect, I Special Summon Gagaga Magician! Now I'll use his special effect to change his Level from 4 to 5!" The dark holes on Gagaga Magician's belt then shined a white light in five places indicating his changed Level. "Now, since I control a Gagaga monster, I can Special Summon Gagaga Child from my hand, then using her effect, I make her Level match my Magician's! Level 5 Gagaga Magician, Gagaga Child, Overlay! With these 2 monsters I build the Overlay Network! Xyz Summon! "Come out, ZW – Leo Arms!"
"Xyz Summon? First time I'm hearing about that type of Summon." Yusei observed.
"It's a far cry from your Synchro Summon, Yusei, though it spread a lot more rapidly since there's no special sub-class of card needed, like your tuners. Any two same-Level monsters can be used as Materials for an Xyz." The still anonymous duelist explained. "Thankfully, they don't have Levels, or it would get VERY insane very fast. Though a side effect is that Level-based cards do jack against an Xyz."
Yugi then stepped up, having finished an internal dialogue and switched with the Pharaoh, and enter the Duel as well. "Interesting to see how the game developed over the years. I'm still curious to see what this Pendulum Summoning Yuya spoke of is…"
Yuma shouted above it all "Hey, I'm not done here! Now I Overlay my Level 4 Goblindbergh and Kagetokage to Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia! Now go Chaos Xyz Evolution! Appear, Number C39: Utopia Ray! Next I activate ZW – Leo Arms's effect: By using one Overlay Unit, I can search my Deck for any 'ZW' card, and add it to my hand, I add ZW – Tornado Bringer! Then, from my hand I activate the Spell Card: Rank Up Magic – Limited Barian Force! This lets me take any Rank 4 Xyz Monster, like Utopia Ray, here, and rebuild the Overlay Network to Summon an Xyz Monster that has 1 Rank higher! Appear, Chaos Numbers 39. Soul shining with hope! It covers all things in nature, and becomes the power to lead the future! Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory! (R5 / 2800 / 2500) Next I'll give Utopia some weapons and armor! ZW – Leo Arms, equip to Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory! You too, ZW – Tornado Bringer and Zw – Lightning Blade!" (ATK 2800 - 5800 - 7000 - 8300) Yuma smirked. "8300 ATK and you can't target, destroy or activate battle traps against my Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory. Who's a joke, now?"
"There's no way you're taking on all five of them alone if they still have that bullshit going for them in our world, Alex." The sister said, grabbing her own disk and deck. "I tribute my brother's face-down monster, to Tribute Set a monster, then end my turn with 3 face-downs. Your turn, Yuya."
Yuya cleared his throat as he drew his card. "Ladies, and Gentlemen~"
"Please, there's no audience, Yuya. Just duel. You're in our apartment and we get enough of your speech every time you say it in your world." The siblings both deadpanned simultaneously.
Yuya face-faulted "Ah, I guess you're right… I using the Scale 1 Stargazer Magician, and the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, Set the Pendulum Scale! This allows me to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 2 through 7 from my hand! Swing, pendulum of souls! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Appear now! My monsters! Level 4: Performapal Whip Snake! Level 4: Performapal Warrior Tiger! Level 4: Performapal Silver Claw! And finally, Come forth with your wondrous and beautiful dichromatic eyes. Level 7: Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Now, with my Level 4 Whip Snake and Warrior Tiger, I construct the overlay network! Formed from pitch-black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Descend now! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Next I'll Tribute my Silver Claw and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, to Fusion Summon by his own effect, a new monster! Prideful silver wolf. Become one with the mysterious dragon, and create a new power! Come forth, ferocious dragon whose eyes glitter like those of a wild beast's! My Level 8... Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! At that I end my turn."
Yusei then drew his card, "I suppose that makes it my move. I discard Dandylion to Special Summon Quickdraw Synchron (L5 Tuner), and when I do, I also gain 2 Fluff Tokens (L1). Now I tune my Level 5 Quickdraw Synchron to my two Level 1 Fluff Tokens Gathering roars turn into an echoing arrow which tears through the sky! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Show yourself, Junk Archer! (5 +1 +1 =7). Now I'll Normal Summon the Level 1 Tuner Effect Veiler and Tune it to my Level 7 Junk Archer. Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon! With one face-down card I'll end my turn there."
Yugi, or rather the Pharaoh, drew for his turn. "I activate Polymerization, allowing me to Fusion Summon my Arcana Knight Joker using the King's Knight, Queen's Knight, and Jack's Knight in my hand! NowI play, De-Fusion, returning my Joker to the Extra Deck and Summoning all three of the Fusion Materials in his place. Now I'll Tribute all three of them to Summon the Egyptian God card: Obelisk the Tormentor! As I cannot attack until Jaden's turn has passed, I'll end right there."
Jaden leapt up from the couch and turned his Duel Disk on. "Alright, get your game on, Alex! I activate Polymerization, fusing the Elemental HEROes Clayman, and Bubbleman for the Summon of Elemental HERO Mudball Man! I'll throw down 3 face downs and end my turn."
Alex grinned at the challenge presented before him. "About time it got back to my turn. 4 aces and a… Mudball Man. This will be amazing. I draw, and reveal Frostosaurus, I draw, revealing Lancephorynchus! I draw again, revealing Dragoons of Draconia! I draw again, revealing Meteor Dragon! I draw again, revealing Labradorite Dragon! I draw again! Alexandrite Dragon! Draw, Luster Dragon! Draw! Flash Knight! Draw!" and Alex continued drawing Normal Monsters until his hand had expanded to thirteen cards from its previous count of two.
"Now I'll set my own Pendulum Scales using the Scale 2 Dragoons of Draconia and the Scale 7 Lancephorynchus! This allows me to Pendulum Summon Level 3 through 6 monsters! But first, I Flip Summon the monster Alexia Set on her turn, Guardian Sphinx! Activating his effect, and returning every monster on our opponents' side of the field to their hand and/or Extra Decks. As this does not target, nor destroy, none of your effects can prevent it from happening." The five Yus could only stare in abject shock as their fields were wiped clean; all advantage they had completely wiped out in one card.
"Next, I Tribute the Guardian Sphinx to Normal Summon the Tuner Monster, Labradorite Dragon! (L6)" Alex continued, not letting up in the slightest. "And I'll follow that up with a Pendulum Summon! Come forth my faithful allies! Luster Dragon #2 (L6), Meteor Dragon (L6), Wattaildragon (L6), and Frostosaurus (L6)! All of whom are Level 6. I use Wattaildragon and Meteor Dragon to construct an overlay network, Xyz Summoning the mighty Hieratic Dragon King of Atum! (R6 / 2400 / 2100)." Yuma looked unimpressed by the simple Xyz Summon. "Next, I'll perform a DARK SYNCHRO SUMMON, by Dark-Tuning my Labradorite Dragon to my Luster Dragon #2…" Yusei did a double take at the term Dark Synchro Summon, then again when the Summoned monster registered to his eyes as the Crimson Dragon whose head rested in the birthmark on his right forearm."…to Summon the Level 0 Ultimaya T'zolki'n! Through his effect, he's always treated as originally Level 12 by the mechanics of the game, and this Dark Synchro is the only way to bring him out, not counting as a true Synchro Summon, but requiring a Tuner and Non-Tuner of the same five-star or higher level be sent to the Grave. NowI'll Set a backrow card to trigger Ultimaya's next effect, at this moment I am permitted to Special Summon, for free, one "Power Tool" Synchro monster, or a Dragon-type Synchro Monster of Level 7 or 8, from my Extra Deck, and I choose to Summon forth the invincible Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons!" A shadowy two-headed Dragon of darkness took shape and materialized from the energy given off by the visage of the Crimson Dragon."
"Don't mind me," Alexia quipped from her seat at the table. "I'm just here to watch you all lose at this point."
While I control another Synchro Monster, Ultimaya T'zolk'in cannot be targeted for effects or attacks. Now I'll use Atum's first Xyz Material, to sacrifice his attack this turn and Special Summon any Dragon-type monster directly from my Deck and make their ATK and DEF both zero, come out my Tuner monster: Galaxy Serpent! (L2 / 0 / 0) Now I Tribute Hieratic Dragon King of Atum to activate the Trap I set on my first turn: Tyrant's Temper! As long as this trap remains on the field, no monster on the field I own will even notice a Trap Card trying to affect them. I'll finish this chain of insanity by activating Dragon's Mirror from my hand; banishing the Luster Dragon my sister tributed for Guardian Sphinx and Luster Dragon #2 in my Graveyard to Fusion Summon!" Alex cleared his throat and began a Chant of his own.
"Enrapturing emerald eater, stunning sapphire scales; join before this mirror and assume a new form! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth, Level Nine! First of the Dragons! (2700 / 2000)" A writhing black dragon coated in spikes burst forth from the mirror after the two material Dragons dove within it and swirled together as emerald green and sapphire blue streams of energy. "First of the Dragons is unaffected by any and all monster effects, and cannot be defeated in battle except by a Normal Monster. Just in case the Pharaoh is the only one who knows," Alex showed the two monsters he'd banished. "Those are the ones with yellow background coloring like these. Now I'll enter the Battle Phase! First of the Dragons, attack Yuma directly!"
"Gah!" Yuma screamed in dramatic pain as the holographic dragon impaled him upon one of its many spikes. (8000 LP - 5300 LP)
"Next, Beelze gets his turn at you!" The dragon of darkness lunged out and bit down on Yuma's head. (5300 LP - 2300 LP) "and Frostosaurus will finish you off!" (2300 LP - ELIMINATION) "I'll end my turn with that. Your move, Yuya."
The four remaining protagonists could hardly believe the combination the twins before them had put together. Not only had their top monsters been undone in a fashion that not one of them could prevent, but Alex had followed that up by Summoning a Dinosaur among an army of Dragons to take Yuma out in an instant.
