The worst Day of loving someone

Authors note: This is my first fanfiction, so please be gentle :D But I´m generally open to criticism, so please review! I just had to write about Apollon and Cassandra, since I cried so much about their story! y.y This is just gonna be scenes that were in the anime with a few additions of mine! (Maybe later something new, I´ll see!) I do not own Kamigami no Asobi! (sadly :´( )

Apollon POV

His heart was beating incredibly fast, when he saw her. She was standing next to lake, where they would always meet and looked around nervously. He could see the insecurity in her eyes and the anticipation, which sparkled in her eyes. Such a beautiful blue they were. He could stare into her eyes for thousands of years and never get tired of them. Excitement filled him as he silently got closer to her. Gods, she was so beautiful, he could feel himself smiling like an idiot, while he watched her. Her shoulder-length brown hair was wavy and shimmered slightly in the moonlight and her dress was simple but beautiful white, which made her shine even brighter in this perfect night. Flower petals were flying all around her und her hair flew with the wind. In that moment his heart stood still. She looked so beautiful, he wanted to capture this moment and never, ever let it go. And he knew that he truly loved her with all my heart. Cassandra. Just when he silently whispered her name, she turned around and her eyes met his. She stared at him in awe, as if she couldn´t believe, that he was actually here. He stepped out of the forest and slowly walked up to her, his gaze never leaving her figure. Apollon-sama...She sounded very flustered when she said his name, a blush crept over her beautiful face. Now that he was closer to her, he could see every detail of her face in the bright moonlight. His heart was beating even faster now, if that was possible and his happy grin became a soft smile, when he touched her hands. I´m so happy you came. Her hands were so cute and small. Her innocent eyes looked up to his, but the happiness inside them had faded and was replaced by sadness. I...I shouldn´t have come! She looked down and her hair covered her eyes, so she didn´t have to look into his bright green eyes. Apollons own smile didn´t fade even the slightest. He was familiar with Cassandra´s insecurities considering their relationship. She never quite felt worthy to be with him, be with the god of the sun, a powerful being, that might look like an incredibly handsome, young man, but in reality was much older than one would have guessed by his looks. In comparison to his father Zeus he was still very young and quite naive, for he had never despised humans, as other gods did, he was simply curious about them. When he first met Cassandra, he also had his first encounter with love. The unfamiliar burning sensation he had felt, when he first met her, was still present in his mind. At first he had thought, that something was wrong with him, his heart racing like crazy and hands being all shaky. When he had asked his uncle Hades, he had looked at him with both pity and amusement. His uncle never showed amusement. Apollon had been stunned, when his uncle told him about love, a feeling the latter had seen lots of times, when a new soul entered the underworld and was still crying about the loved ones, it had to leave behind. Hades even smiled a little, but looked concerned at his nephew. Love could hurt just as much, as an arrow through the chest, he had warned him, but Apollon, being the carefree young god he was, hadn´t really paid attention. The next days all he could think about was Cassandra. The beautiful and shy Cassandra. He had never thought about someone for that long and felt so intensely when he had seen her. The other gods stared at him in wonder, when he went by, humming a happy song and litterally shining as bright as the sun itself. His father even warned him about seducing a mortal girl, as it would always end badly, but he only got angry at his father and met Cassandra despite his obvious disapproval. He was so smitten, even his visions, that would predict the future were clouded and confused, yet he didn´t mind that. He was in love and no one, no one could take that wonderful, strong feeling away from him. Cassandra was not so convinced abot their love. She felt uneasy, because she felt inferior to the gods. As a priestress she had high respect of the gods and it was still hard for her to admit, that she was in love with the god of the sun. Apollon knew that. He was always worried, that one day she wouldn´t show up at their meeting place, but she always did. Although he always spend the first ten minutes of every encounter convincing her to stay and that their love was possible. He had faith in this new, strange feeling, but Cassandra worried a lot about their future. This time though, he had a special suprise for his beloved, that would definitly convince her, that nothing could stand in the way of their love. He clutched her hands tightly and waited until she looked up into his emerald eyes. Cassandra... I promise...my love for you will never change. Even if Zeus himself were to come down and tell me to leave you, I would still defend our love, until my last breath! His voice was soft, but got louder at the end. Cassandra´s blue eyes widdened. She looked slightly shocked, but still she wouldn´t smile, she bit her lip worryingly. It´s impossible... A god and a mortal cannot live together. She sounded sad, but with a hint of hope sparkling in her eyes. It was her greatest wish, that there could be a way for her and the young god to be together, but she just couldn´t think of any and started to lose hope. Apollon just kept on smiling, knowing that he could convince her, when she received his gift. My love for you will never change. Never...Never! He repeated with a dazzling smile and let go of her hands. As a proof of that, I give you this! His hands started to glow with a bright golden light and when the light flew into her hands it transformed into a beautiful small box, still glowing lightly with a golden shine around it. Cassandra stared at the small box in her hands, her eyes now no longer sad, but astonished by the wonder she was experiencing. She had never seen Apollon using his godly powers in front of her before, and was completely in awe. Apollon allowed himself a light chuckle, when he noticed her looks. She reminded him of an innocent child, seeing its first snow. A load of happiness rolled over him and his heart pounded excitingly. It is divine power. If you open that box, you can see the future! He hoped that this gift, was finally going to break down the wall that stood between them and ensure their future together. Cassandra was now looking up into his eyes, exitement and awe both glowing in her eyes. Like you, Apollon-sama?, She asked shyly, just to make sure, she had understood him. Apollon smiled and nodded. Yes, like me. Now you and I are the same! He exclaimed, as he was sure, that now she would no longer refuse to love him or despair at the sight of their future, for now she could see by herself how much he loved her, and that their future was going to be fantastic. Finally she smiled. Oh how he loved her smile. It was so beautiful, full of happiness and a proof, that all the other gods were wrong. Apollon and Cassandra would live happily ever after, he was sure of that, whenever he saw her smile. It was his own personal sun. I´m so happy, Apollon-sama! Hearing her say it out loud was even better. Now he couldn´t help himself and pulled her into a loving embrace. He buried his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes. Never had he felt happier in his whole live. Her body was pressed against his and he felt her warmth and her hair tickling his neck. She hadn´t moved at all and seemed to finally accept his love. Apollon took a deep breath and smiled, when her smell hit him. Of course she would smell like a lovely flower. She was just like a flower herself. Beautiful, small and precious. He gripped her slightly tighter. Cassandra was his little flower...and now that all obstacles were destroyed, he was never gonna let her go.
