As I quickly board the train, one of the Avoxes taps me on the shoulder and I whirl around. She stands there for a minute and then starts to glare at me, as if to say, "You, you personally, were the one to cut my tongue out and henceforth and evermore, I shall hate you." At this point, I should probably sentence her to death, but no, I'm feeling generous today, so I decide on handing her a rose instead. The rose, as all Avoxes know, is my sign saying, "One false move, and you will die." The roses are always given to them in the aircraft that captured them, and they usually can tell what they mean.

The ride to District Twelve is awfully short- after all, the districts are quite small, and so we arrive in District Twelve in a few short days. One would think I would become bored throughout the tiresome journey, but mostly I entertained myself by watching the ongoing saga of Katniss Everdeen- how much would she be able to sell that hare she caught for? Would she ever go to see Peeta?

When we arrive in District Twelve, I realize that, yes; District Twelve is wealthier than the other districts due to their tribute's winnings. I may have to change that.

With some Peacekeepers following me, I reach the Everdeen's door and knock. Primrose, who I remember from the reaping and the interviews, opens the door with a plate of cookies in her hands.

"Mom," she calls, "President Snow is here."
